Church Theme for 2014
Becoming and Making Disciples
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given
to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
[ Matthew 28:18-20 ]
Announcements
Church :
1. The 39th Baptism Ceremony will be held at Wattle Park Chapel, 234
Elgar Road, Box Hill South on 29 Nov Saturday at 10am. Please
reserve your time to attend.
2. In order to reach out to non-Christians around us, we would like to
invite brothers and sisters to join in a "Take 5 Challenge". A special
pledge form is available for those who would like to make a
commitment to pray for 5 non-believers, five minutes a day, five days
a week, for the blessings and salvation of Jesus Christ in their lives.
We will collect the form in 23 November together with the faith
pledge for the Great Commission Fund.
3. UniCulture is a community group that our church has formed to
support and serve our local community, especially (but not limited to)
international students. We intend to do this by “connecting cultures
and creating community”. Please follow our Facebook Page for more
details. All invited!
4. This month's combined prayer meeting will be held on 14 Nov at 8pm.
The C&MA Director of Mission & Recruitment Rev Rick Bell will be
here to share with us. Please reserve your time to come.
5. "Carols by Candlelight 2014" is scheduled on 13 December (Sat). A
working committee will be formed. If you are interested to engage in
this ministry in any role, please contact Alison Au, Chris Au or Jessie
Siu.
6. The current Faith Promise for the year 2013-2014 is $44,968.00, it
was end in October. Praise God that the actual offerings received is
$55,789.35 as of 26/10/2014.
