The Dedication of the Lateran Basilica
Dear Friends, Next Sunday 16th November, Bishop Kevin Doran
will celebrate the 12.00 mass for the deceased members of the
past pupils union of CBC Monkstown. Bishop Kevin has recently
been consecrated as Bishop of Elphin. He is a past pupil of
CBC Monkstown. There will be refreshments in the parish
centre after mass.

MC3 FILM AND BOOK CLUB

St Patrick’s Church Parochial House.

• Eucharistic Adoration Monday – Friday from 8 – 10am, Monday 10.30am5.30pm and Sat. 10.30am-12.45pm. All welcome.
• Quite Prayer Group meets on Wednesday 12th November in the Parochial
House at 8.00pm. All welcome.
• There are envelopes at the back of the church for anyone who wishes to
make a donation to the church. They can be put in the collection baskets or
left in the parish office.
• The Chalice on the table at the front of the altar rails is for people who are
coeliac.
• Society of St Vincent de Paul – Anyone in need of assistance call 8550022.

Special notices:
You are invited to a 1914-18 War commemorative event when poet,
lecturer & critic Gerald Dawe will speak on Earth Voices Whispering.
This MC3 event is at 7.30pm on Tuesday 11th November in The Knox
Hall. Join in the discussion and enjoy a cup of tea afterwards. All
welcome.

Tea & Coffee morning will resume in the Parochial House on Tuesday
11th November and Friday 14th November. All welcome. Please use
the parish office entrance.

Bethany Bereavement Group meets in the Parish Centre on Thursday
13th November at 8.00pm. All welcome.

Altar List of the Dead envelopes are available at the back of the
church. Masses are offered for all our deceased parishioners, family
members and friends on All Souls Day and on the First Friday of every
month.

Monkstown – A Victorian Village by Seamus Cannon and Carole
Cullen. Fr Quilter’s original research has been re-written and brought
up to date for a new publication that will shortly be available. An ideal
Christmas present. Check it out on www.fundit.ie for a full description
and an opportunity to buy in advance.
