Latest Bulletin - Saint Isaac Jogues Parish
JANUARY 18, 2015 ~ THE SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME___________
THEME
A Spiritual Communion
God calls each person to be perfect. He calls us to be a chosen
race, a royal priesthood, a people set apart to be witnesses of
Jesus Christ. No two persons are alike; God wants each of us
to serve in our own unique way. Let us pray that we may listen
for God’s call, and that we may be faithful to our calling.
On days you can't go to Mass,
join the Church by making a

Since I am unable now to receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into
my heart. I embrace You as being already
there, and I unite myself wholly to You; never
permit me to be separated from You.
The priests of tomorrow are in our midst. They are
members of this parish. They are members of our own
families. Encourage Vocations, pray for the gift.
Please ask Our Lord for more dedicated holy priests, deacons
and consecrated men and women. May they be inspired by
Jesus Christ, supported by our faith community, and respond
generously to God’s gift of a vocation.

God, those who take refuge in you will be glad and forever
will shout for joy. Protect these soldiers as they discharge their
duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep
them safe from all evil and harm. May the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love
them, they may ever praise you for your loving care. We ask
this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Mass Book is open for January 2015 through June
19th. Only three Masses per visit may be reserved.
Winter Related Items - The obligation to celebrate the
Eucharist on Sundays and Holydays of Obligation does not
apply in the case of hazardous weather conditions. Those with
special health needs and those who are up in years should err
on the side of caution when there is snow and/or ice on the
ground. It is no sin to stay home on Sundays in the case of
questionable weather conditions. In fact, this is why Mass is
broadcast on TV.
In the event of severe snow the 8:00 am Weekly Daily Mass
Schedule will be based on the Tredyffrin School District
Schedule. 8:00 am Daily Mass that day. Please call 610-2401970 to check for school closings. School Number is 854.
Rediscover the Love in Your Marriage – The Retrouvaille
Marriage program offers help for struggling marriages. It
gives you the chance to rediscover yourself and your spouse.
Retrouvaille is not just a social gathering or series of seminars,
but rather a way to rediscover and rekindle the loving
relationship in your marriage. The next program begins on the
weekend of February 13-15, at the Family Life Center in
Malvern. For more information or to register visit our website
at: www.HelpOurMarriage.com or call 1-800-470-2230. All
inquiries are strictly confidential.

you to support our parish. Our goal is to significantly increase

prayerfully consider enrolling in Parish Giving. Visit the
website www.stisaac.org or call 1-866-307-7140.
Advertising - Our parish benefits greatly from the ads you see
in the bulletin. The revenue pays for its printing, which is an
important means of communication for the parish. We thank
the many local businesses that have renewed their ads, as well
as the many new advertisers in our bulletin. Please let them
know that this is where you saw their ad. There are a few open
spaces, so if you would like to promote your business to the
families of our parish, please call Wyatt Grove at 610-2129298.
2015 First Penance & First Holy Communion Registration

the Religious Education Office at (610) 687-2481 or e-mail at
SIJCCD@gmail.com.
WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE INTO THE
CATHOLIC FAITH? - While there are
many different circumstances that lead a
person in the direction of Catholicism, the
simple answer is, “Because God has called
them.”
Most often, God calls to us through the
people closest to us, through our families and friends. Most
who have entered the Church have been influenced by a
Catholic spouse, fiancé, or close friend. For many of these
people, a desire to raise their children in the knowledge of
God spurred them to action. What is this if not the action of
the Holy Spirit?
