Lenten Devotional Books Are Now Available
Together as a church family, we are reading and reflecting on God’s Word using
the resource Book of Faith Lenten Journey: Marks of the Christian. This daily
devotional book from Augsburg Fortress can be used for our personal studies and
will provide the preaching themes for our Lenten Midweek Worship services. The
books are available for purchase today while supplies last for $5 each in the
narthex and outside Centennial Hall by the kitchen.
Personal Care Items Appreciated
During February, we are collecting personal care items for area social service
agencies. Items such as shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste are
simple things we take for granted but are difficult for many to afford. Please see
the February edition of the Messenger or contact Sylvia Stouten for details and
additional suggestions for personal care donations.
Children’s Ministry Donations via the Website!
Trinity’s Children's Ministry now has a website link that allows you to donate to
the projects we are currently working on that need financial support. Some of the
projects include: the “End Hunger Campaign” for the kindergarten nutrition
program in Honduras, the SpringHill Day Camps Scholarship fund, Vacation
Bible School, and more. Go to tlcgr.org if you would like to participate.
Visitation in Times of Need
Please be sure to notify the church office if you or a loved one is ill, hospitalized,
or having surgery. Letting us know of your needs allows you to receive the care
you want and allows us to extend the care that we want to give.
Join The Messenger Assembly Group
Each month several Trinity members meet to prepare our newsletter, The
Messenger, for mailing. The group usually meets on the fourth Thursday of the
month for about 2 hours in the morning. They enjoy great conversation and
delicious snacks while assembling the monthly mailing. Our next meeting will be
Thursday, March 19 at 9 a.m. If you are interested in joining this group or have
questions, please contact Jodi at 949-2510 or at office@tlcgr.org.
Trinity’s Inclement Weather Policy: When the Forest Hills School District closes
during the day, all Trinity daytime activities are cancelled and the church office is closed.
After 3 p.m., check WOOD TV8 or WZZM TV13 to learn the status of our congregation’s
evening activities.
When Forest Hills Schools announce a two hour morning delay, morning programming at
Trinity will also be cancelled.
