Spring 2015 Merit Fund
These funds are intended to support one time future project
costs. In the past, they have supported various outreach
programs, research, and engineering-related projects. To be
eligible for this award you must:
Serving Faculty
 Be a Purdue University Engineering student
organization.**
 Submit the above information and responses to the
following questions by 5:00 PM Friday, March 13th,
2015.
 Be able to have at least two representatives attend an
evening interview regarding this application on
Sunday, March 29th, 2015.
**It is not necessary to have “engineering” in the title of your
organization, but your project should involve facilitating
interest in engineering or promoting knowledge of
engineering principles. The funds may not be used for
catering social events, t-shirts, etc.

1. State the overarching purpose of your organization at Purdue University, and how
the project contributes to your organization’s goals.
2. Please describe the proposed project in detail. Include all plans, project timelines,
intended audience, and a detailed breakdown of the financial requirements along
with an explanation of how the Merit Fund Grant will be utilized.
3. Describe the financial stability of your organization. How would your
organization and the above project be impacted by partial funding?
4. Explain how this project will positively influence and inspire the engineering
student body.
5. Identify any difficulties/issues that you may face during your project, and how you
intend to utilize our funding to solve these issues.
6. What methods will be used to measure the success and impact of this project? (Is
your project taking part in any kind of competition or presentation?)
