Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officer (Seasonal)
The Municipality of Central Elgin is a progressive, growing urban and rural municipality
located on the north shore of Lake Erie in the heart of southwestern Ontario adjacent to
London and St. Thomas. The Municipality is a major tourist destination in Southwestern
Ontario given it’s multitude of public beaches, sports fields, community, and area parks.
The Municipality is currently seeking two By-Law Enforcement Officers to assist staff in
the enforcement of parking, nuisances and other municipal by-laws. The successful
candidates will work approximately 35 hours per week, alternating weekends and
holidays, from late May to Labour Day 2015.
Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officer
Reporting directly to the Chief Building Official, the By-Law Enforcement Officers will be
responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws throughout the Municipality.
Desired qualifications:
 Law and security training
 Building/construction experience
 G2 drivers license
 Physically fit
 Excellent interpersonal skills
 Able to work independently
 Returning to school in September 2015
The 2015 Rate of Pay is $16.91.
