The Outreach intern’s goal will be to raise the public profile of ADAPT and various
Outreach projects through social media engagement and outreach activities. This
includes identifying stories suitable for a public audience, updating the various
ADAPT social media pages, contributing to a quarterly newsletter and assisting with
outreach tasks and events.
This is an 8-week paid internship based at DCU School of Computing, Dublin 9. Start
date is ideally early June 2015.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to their work, and will
have ample opportunity to contribute their own ideas and suggestions.
This is an exciting role for a self-starter who is seeking hands-on experience with
one of Ireland’ leading research centres. The ideal candidate will have an interest in
technology and a passion for communicating leading-edge research to diverse
audiences, but particularly to the general public.
Who will be working
with you?
The Outreach intern will be working closely with Dr. Cara Greene, Research
Outreach Coordinator for ADAPT. The student will participate in all our projects
during his/her time with us.
