They play acoustic folk, Irish, and East Coast music. Woody’s influences include Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Bob Wills. Woody, also a trained opera singer uses his honed voice to bring a memorable luster to his performance—his voice is true tenor and carries that rare quality that only a tenor can. The repertoire features finger-snapping shuffling swing beats, honey-slowed love croons, and show stopping “extreme” yodeling. Tickets will be an on sale AugustMember 10, 2010. The Last Word… I would like to thank Derek Brueckner, and Diane Lund for coming into the Gypsumville Art Club and providing two great visual arts workshops for people in our community. It was a wonderful experience. What a pleasure to view the work of local Interlake Artists at this years Juried Art Show in West St. Paul. Congratulations to everyone from organizers to participants. CONGRATULATIONS—Patricia Cochrane from Ashern at the Fringe Festival in Winnipeg Congratulations to Patricia Cochrane. Patricia performed a one-woman show at this years Fringe Festival in Winnipeg. Entitled “Three Snapshots of Death” - “Jane Grey’s Murder of her Second Head”, Crusin’ Through Purgatory with Elvis” and “End of the World, Idiots”, showcased three women’s struggles against prejudice, indifference, doubt, inner conflict and death. As they find a way to accept themselves and find their place with God and the world around them. The Plays were written by her Mother Linda Fletcher, and Patricia herself. We wish Patricia continued success .
