Year 12 Mentor Day This year, we held our second “Year 12 Mentor Day”, which proved to be just as successful as last season’s. We had 25 players from the senior team attend the Pre‐Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 sessions, and it was great to see the Auskicker’s and Year 12’s working together. This day looks like being a major part of the Auskick calendar going forward, and here is a video link that captures exactly what we had hoped to achieve; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_onVmtaYwg&sns=em Corner Coaches To the Coaches of 2014 ‐ Record player numbers means record coaching numbers. All 69 of you have dedicated your own time to attend coaching courses and been there week in week out for your team. You have braved rain, wind and early Sunday mornings but along the way brought a smile to the player’s faces them a thing or two about football. A and taught massive thank you to you all and enjoy the well‐ deserved break. Grant Hankinson Auskick Coaching Coordinator AFL Half-Time Game Fremantle vs Carlton The Marist Football Club were honoured to be invited to represent Auskick at the Fremantle vs Carlton game on Thursday 31st July. 56 players were selected to be part of the half time entertainment and the smiles on their faces the whole night said they had a great time! Despite less than favourable weather Marist Football Club were represented in a sea of black and blue and a great day was had by all! A clip capturing this day is also on the Marist channel on You Tube http://youtu.be/qIOwbNprF8k Committee Roles for 2015 Thank you to our 2014 Committee With many of the Auskick committee moving on to Modified next season, we are in desperate need of parents whose kids are playing in the Pre‐Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 grades, to provide the support we need to make sure our Auskicker’s continue to enjoy their early football years, and maintain a strong and successful Auskick program for the Marist Football Club. The Committee Roles are varied, and we will accommodate anyone who volunteers to find a suitable role. The 2015 season essentially starts now, so we are asking parents to put their hand up, so we can prepare accordingly. Please see one of the Auskick Committee team or email marist.auskick@westnet.com.au with your details. Managers A big thank you to all of our Managers for sharing information with your team on a weekly basis, and coordinating the roster duties, photo’s, awards and fixturing. Your great work makes it easier each weekend, so hoping you will all be back to help out again next year! To our Registration Team; Jo Gardener, Rebecca Hankinson, Sandra Brewer, Raelene Charlwood, Nat Belladonna, Claire McMinigal, thank you ladies for your efforts in preparing for the Registration Day way back in February, and for time spent in aligning our teams. To the Auskick Committee; Grant Hankinson, Tasch Hughes, Lara Gray, Clint Martin‐Booth, Ant Doyle, Mark Lowry and Karen King….thank you all for your efforts across the 2014 season. The success of Marist Auskick, is largely due to what you bring each Sunday morning. I would also like to make special mention to our very first Junior Committee Member, Bronte Condo. For always being willing to help out – from Registration Day, with Team Gear boxes, weekly set‐up and BBQ duties, you are a star! The Marist Auskick Family thanks you all for your great efforts in Season 2014. Survey As part of our commitment to ensure everyone’s voice is heard, and we continue to improve the Auskick experience, please take 5 minutes to complete our 2014 survey; https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8BGV2P8 We have simplified the questions and also the number of questions this year, so please take this opportunity to provide your feedback and suggestions. Vale Rocky Condo! Marist Auskick “ Where football dreams are made!” 2014 marks the end of an era for our fabulous Auskick Co‐ordinator as he moves on to the Modified Group in 2015. It could not be argued that the success of the Auskick program these past three to four years is owed to this incredibly dedicated, passionate and committed volunteer! Rocky has worked so hard to promote a positive club culture starting with our youngest of players! Thanks to Rocky’s dedication to the club we have enjoyed a large transition in registration numbers and he has ensured that everyone’s Auskick experience has been a positive and enjoyable one. On behalf of the Marist Football Club, Marist Auskick Committee and Marist Families we thank you for all of your efforts which have resulted in a brilliantly run Auskick Program which we will endeavour to continue to operate as well as you have! All of our very best wishes to you and your family’s future with the Marist Football Club! Farewell to Season 2014 and Hello 2015! The Auskick tents are folded up, the air‐horn is packed away, and Sunday morning football is replaced by sleep‐ins and garden duties.
