Law & new technologies Our research model is special because it involves a close relationship between our researchers, undergraduate and graduate students. The university promotes socially relevant educational programs which lead to grater social awareness among students. We foster a commitment to work for regional and community welfare. Service Learning Program The Service Learning program provides the opportunity to acquire experience working with needy communities in the region, and in this way facilitate community development alongside academic learning and human growth. Using self- help and technical assistance approaches, university students and professors join service and community development projects designed within each academic program in close cooperation with the recipient community Academic Support Programs Academic Programs Professional Experience Learning Program (PAEL) This program offers the opportunity to acquire working experience in diverse public, private and social organizations with the aim of extending knowledge and enhancing abilities and attitudes that have been previously accrued in the university. Continuos Education Courses, workshops, seminars and certificate classes are provided for the continuing professional education and personal development of interested community members. Marist Language Center The center teaches a variety of language e.g.: English, Mandarin Chinese, French, Italian, Portuguese, German and Maya. For international students preparation or semester courses of Spanish as a second language are also offered. Cultural Programs Academic Programs University Extension The University Extension program promotes academic and cultural activities with the aim of enriching the broader educational environment. To this end we regularly host visiting professors, forums and conferences. Among the activities promoted by the Extension are Weekly cultural events The Marist Orchestra, Theatre groups, classical music concerts, photographic and painting exhibitions, cinema clubs, poetry recitals and conferences. Marist University at Night Academic Programs International Programs Academic Programs The university has a significant number of academic exchange, research and community development agreements with public and private academic and scientific institutions in Mexico and abroad. Through this cooperation we enrich the academic life and we reach universality and diversity at Marist Campus, opening ways to internationalization.
