The Good Friday Pontifical Collection
Every year, each parish in the United States takes up a collection on Good Friday, as designated by the Holy Father. This
collection helps support the work of the Franciscans in the Holy
Land. The money is used to care for the people and places of
the Holy Land. This collection keeps Christianity alive in this
area made holy by life, suffering, death and resurrection of our
Lord, Jesus Christ. We thank you for your support in the past
and ask that you support this important collection again.

Those preceding him as well as those following kept crying out: “Hosanna!

Hosanna in the highest!” - Mk 11:9-10
Palm Sunday, March 29th, 2015
Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphant
entry of Jesus into Jerusalem: it honors him as
King and begins the week of His glorification
through death and resurrection. Palm Sunday
is also call Passion Sunday. The Passion emphasizes suffering, the Palm emphasized victory. This will be
the last Sunday of Lent, yet we wear festive red vestments. We
acclaim Jesus as the Messiah (Hosanna) but in the Mass, we
emphasize His suffering and death.

Wish You A Blessed and Happy Easter
The Empty Tomb
When they went to see the tomb that
blessed Easter day, They found the tomb
was empty and the stone was rolled away,
For Jesus Christ had risen, defeating
death and sin, So won’t you open up your heart and ask the
Savior in.
Dear Lord, during this holy time we pause to
remember that your light can never be extinguished. Help us to believe in this truth so that
we might live lives that display your eternal
illumination. Amen.
Reminder: No Youth Group meeting on Tuesday, April 7th (1st Sunday Off) April meetings
will be on the 14th, 21st and 28th in the Parish

year round but have fewer, (1 or 2 a month), less formal summer month meetings (such as car wash, swimming, picnic.)
Come when you can. I am very understanding that sports,
school work, and other obligations may take you from meetings
at times, we don’t take attendance.
