It has been clearly demonstrated that neighbourhood watch programs reduce thefts and other crimes. But for this to be effective, there must be well-established cooperation among neighbours. The Neighbourhood Watch committee is there to support neighbours who want to get organized to establish a direct channel of communication with various services, including the police department, through the community safety division, and the city, through the Borough of Mont-Bellevue. The Mont-Bellevue Neighbourhood Watch committee invites anyone interested in getting involved or seeking more information to attend its meetings.
