Maryland Law Links Internship 2008 The Cost of One Intern’s Professional Attire = $300 An Intern’s Wages for the Summer Internship = $2,000 The Law Links Experience = PRICELESS. In 1995, Law Links was conceived in Baltimore City for aspiring students who hoped to pursue law-related careers. Now, fourteen years later, 650 interns have been placed in law firms and agencies throughout Baltimore City, Prince George’s County, and other Maryland jurisdictions. We are proud of the 31 interns who successfully completed this summer’s internship, as we are the hundreds of students who preceded them. We are honored to work with the law firms, agencies, and professionals who make this program possible every year. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our youth. -CLREP Staff Law Links 2008 Sponsors & Contributors Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC Association of Legal Administrators Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP Baltimore Bar Foundation Baltimore Women’s Bar Association Bar Association of Baltimore City Bar Associations’ Insurance Trust Commonweal Foundation Dept. of Labor, Licensing & Regulation Farace & Scherr Fedder & Garten Ferguson, Schetelich & Ballew Mr. Al Frederick, Esq. Baltimore City Law Links ‘08 lights ♦ Highlights ♦ Highlights ♦ Highlights ♦ Highlights ♦ Highlights ♦ “Complacency is a luxury one can ill afford.” -Hon. Emanuel Brown The Guy in the Glass, Dale Wimbrow When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf, And the world makes you King for a day, Then go to the mirror and look at yourself, And see what that guy has to say. For it isn't your Father, or Mother, or Wife, Who judgment upon you must pass. The feller whose verdict counts most in your life Is the guy staring back from the glass. He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest, For he's with you clear up to the end, And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test If the guy in the glass is your friend. You may be like Jack Homer and chisel a plum, and you think you’re a wonderful guy, but the man in the glass says you’re only a bum, if you can’t look him straight in the eye. You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years, And get pats on the back as you pass, But your final reward will be heartaches and tears If you've cheated the guy in the glass. -As quoted by Chief Judge Robert M.
