Contributing to others is a vital component of great leadership and it was very pleasing to see this occurring within our school. Platinum Morning Tea With the large number of students in our school consistently displaying a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, it is not surprising to have so many children qualify for a platinum award this semester. The special Platinum morning tea will be held on Wednesday 22nd June in our hall. Invitations to attend the Semester 1 ceremony will be issued next week. Fishing 4 Friends Outing Our school Fishing 4 Friends groups are eagerly looking forward to their first session, next Tuesday 14th June. Resilience - Your Attitude Centuries ago Confucius stated ’Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference’. Much of the research into resilience clearly demonstrates that the attitude which we hold will often ultimately determine our capacity for resilience. This is because our attitude determines our approach to life, determines our relationship with people and is often the only difference between success and failure, not only in our work but often in life in general. Recent research into organisational behaviour has shown that the attitude at the beginning of a task will often effect the outcome more than anything else. POSITIVE ATTITUDE = INCREASED RESILIENCE! Mr Fajks has the rods and tackle boxes ready as students will be given opportunities to develop their casting skills and Have a great week. learn the intricate techniques required to tie tackle appropriately on their fishing line. Greg Danckert Principal Once our rivers are flowing freely, I am sure there will be many ’big catches’ made. Poppy’s Quiz Great to see so many students testing their punctuation skills in Poppy’s Quiz last week. Congratulations to eventual winners, Chase Bartlett, Abbey Doncon and Matthew Caruso. The quiz this week will again focus on aspects of punctuation, so don’t forget to have your entries in by Friday.
