FON WiFi Connection Manager
for Nokia Phones
The FON WiFi Connection Manager for
Nokia Phones has been developed to facilitate the automatic connection to FON
Access Points (FONspots). It automatically
detects nearby FON WiFi signals all around
the world and assists you in connecting to
them. Once you have stored the connection
preferences (including username and password) for your preferred FON WiFi signals,
the FON WiFi Connection Manager detects
those signals automatically and connects
you to them.
The application has been designed to work
on Nokia E60, E61, N80, N91, N92, N93 and
N95.
Installation
The FON WiFi Connection Manager for
Nokia Phones works under Symbian Series
60 Version 3. To install the application on
your phone follow these steps:
1. Save the installation file that ends with “.sis” on
the phone. This can be done via cable or bluetooth
or simply by sending it to your phone via email or
MMS.
2. Select and open the file directly on your phone.
3. Accept all of the following steps until you reach
the FON Tutorial screen

Once the application is installed,
you will see the FON logo on your
desktop.

After opening the application from your
phone’s desktop, please read the tutorial and
then close it under “options => close tutorial”

After closing the tutorial, you
will get to the “Settings” screen.
Please define if you want to
have an automatic connection
or not. Also save your username
and password in case you want
to have them automatically
accessible.

As soon as you have a
FONspot’s WiFi signal detected
within your network listing
screen you may connect to it. If
you have saved your username
and password in the Settings,
the connection will be established automatically. You will see
the following screens.

Once you are connected (you will receive
confirmation of such), the network entry
will have the status text “click to disconnect”
and you will be able to access the Internet.

Using your FON WiFi connection
Once establishing of a FON WiFi connection
has been confirmed (see 5 ), you may
switch (without closing the FON WiFi Connection Manager) to an application that will
use this FON WiFi Connection (web browser,
VoIP client, etc.).
