ASPE will be hosting a “One Code Summit” on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. The reason for the summit is simple: bring together the various groups and organizations that have some direct or tangential interest in having one national plumbing code. If there is basic agreement on the Continued on page 3 1 President’s Report Continued from page 1 absolute and vital need for one plumbing code the next step would be to forge an organization alliance and establish a task force for the creation of one national plumbing code. Send your opinions on creating one plumbing code to pdelaney@aspe.org. The ASPE Virginia Blue Chapter put together some very enlightening information on the LEED® Program. They have put together links to sites that provide in-depth information. Go to the ASPE web site for additional info at http://www.aspe.org. The Central Ohio Chapter will be hosting the Region 2 meeting on June 10 and June 11, 2005. We need members. The Central Ohio Chapter is willing to put out $600 to the person or persons willing to take an extra few minutes to talk to someone about joining an organization that benefits the plumbing industry. Up to this point, the big money is still up for grabs in a big way. Foorrrrrrrrrrrre! The Central Ohio Chapter’s annual golf outing is just around the corner Tuesday, June 21st at the Links of Echo Springs. It’s going to be a beautiful thing. We need, as always, your support to help keep the chapter strong. More than that, it’s a heck of a good time. Get your foursome together and sign up now. You engineer types band together with four people from your office and come out and play. You don’t have to be a member and we’ll not beat you up to be one… well, maybe a little. But trust me, it’s pretty painless except for some of the swings you’ll see. Whoooo baby, it could get ugly. Don’t wait. Have a good one all.
