Past month’s events
What a fantastic start to a bright new year! January
2013 commenced on an auspicious note with
Ganapathi Homam and musical concert, Hanuman
Jayanthi Pooja and Makara Sankaranthi Pooja
celebrations at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple.

Hanuman Jayanthi Pooja
Sri Hanuman Jayanthi pooja was performed
at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple on 11/01/13.
Thank you to Mrs. Meenakshi Karthik for
painting the beautiful picture of Lord
Hanuman for the temple (pictured below).
Lord Ganapathi homam, abishekam and pooja
marked the beginning of an auspicious new year at the
temple, followed by a divine musical concert by
Mr. Nagaraj Iyer (violin), Mr. Deepesh Valob
(Mirudangam), disciple of Mr. Yogarajah Kandasamy,
and Mrs. Gayathri Rajaraman (veena) accompanied
by the junior artist in training, Miss Ananya
Rajaraman (Thalam). A hearty annadhanam lunch
was enjoyed by all who attended, thanks to all the
sponsors, volunteers and devotees.
Makara Sankaranthi Pooja
The auspicious Makara Sankaranthi
(Thai Pongal) pooja was performed at
the temple on 13/01/13.
Following Special Abishekam and
pooja, devotional bajans were rendered
by temple devotees. Thank you to all
the devotees who took initiative and
actively participated in the bajans. God
bless you all.

Spiritual Discourse and Pooja
A spiritual discourse was rendered by Sri Vijayeshwari
(Amma Sri Karunamayi) at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple
on 30/01/13, followed by pooja. Thank you to all
devotees who attended this event.
This month’s special event: Sathyanarayana Pooja
The very auspicious Lord Sathyanarayana
Pooja is performed at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu
Temple on every Pournami (full moon) evening
from 7:00pm – 8:30pm, followed by prasadam
annadhanam (dinner) for all those who attend.
Sponsorship is available each month ($51) or on
an annual basis.
Sathyanarayana Pooja will be performed at Sri
Sai Siva Vishnu Temple on Pournami evening,
Monday 25/02/13. All are welcome!

SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS….
SPONSORS AND VOLUNTEERS
Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple has newly acquired the
very auspicious Silver Shodasa Upachara set (pictured
left), for use in special poojas for the deities. Thank
you to Mr. and Mrs. Praveen family and Mr. and Mrs.
Morisetty family who have contributed towards the
purchase of these items. There are still a couple of
items that require sponsorship. Kindly see the temple
priest for further details.
Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Shiv Usha Gounder who (out of their
own initiative) have donated a new fan to our temple, for the
comfort of the deities and devotees during the hot summer days!
A special thank you to Mr. Amit Miglani and family, who have once
again come forward to help our temple by donating a brand new
large TV screen for display of our temple pooja events, news and
information.
Last but not least, Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple thanks
all the devotees who have supported our fundraising
item by purchasing our Temple Polo T-shirts. A big
thank-you to all the volunteers who have assisted
with the sale of these shirts! Please be advised that
all T-shirts are now sold out. God bless you all.
