To register, sponsor & exhibitor information go to GahannaAreaChamber.com/Events T he Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) recently appointed Gahanna Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman, Betty Collins, as their newest member of its Board of Trustees. The CIC is a not-for-profit corporation created by the State of Ohio for the purpose of advancing, encouraging and promoting the industrial, economic, commercial, and civic development in Gahanna. In order to accomplish these goals, the CIC puts together, improves upon, and sells commercial property to businesses so they will move (or stay) in Gahanna. Without this ability, important parcels could remain vacant or be developed in a manner that is below Gahanna’s standards. The greatest benefit of having a CIC is its ability to be more flexible and move more quickly in terms of purchasing, selling, or developing land. “We look forward to leveraging Betty’s knowledge and experience as a financial expert in supporting the mission and growth of the CIC. It will be a pleasure to have someone with Betty’s enthusiasm and energy on the Board of Trustees” said George Mrus, President of the Gahanna CIC. Betty’s active involvement with the CIC representing the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce members illustrates the Chamber’s commitment to bridging Gahanna businesses and community together, making Gahanna even stronger.
