A Word From The Pastor
“Now you’ve got my feet on the
life path, all radiant from the
shining of your face. Ever since
you took my hand, I’m on the
right way.” Psalm 16:11 MSG
Each year, since I was seven
years old I've tried to read
through the entirety of the
scriptures. I've had some off
years here and there, but I
simply love the narratives. I love
the poetry, the songs, the
fantastical stories of God's
activity, the room for woe and
lamentation, the deep questions
from the heroes of the faith.
Along with trying to read the
scriptures in their entirety, I also
try to read a Psalm and Proverb
each day, too.
I'd love to hear from you the
ways you practice your faith day
to day, week to week, season to
season that help you to grow
closer to God and to one another.
For it is these daily practices,
that help us to see the radiance
of God's face. It is the daily and
weekly and seasonal rhythms
that help us to hold the right
hand of Christ and set off down
the right paths.
Labor Day is almost here, a new
season is almost upon us and I'm
wondering if you would join me
in praying that God would
continue to show us his radiant
face. That the Holy Spirit would
continue to hold our hands, as
new staff, new families, and new
members join our family and we
make room at the family table
for them. Let us live and love
generously so that we see God's
face shining so brightly upon us
that it lights up the halls of our
building and the streets of our
neighborhood.

Benevolence Need
The children had so much fun
making spaghetti for their families
on Thursday night! They gave
praise to God through songs, and
talked about their favorite summer
activities at CCDC.
This week they will learn about
CARITAS, and are excited about
making muffins to help the
homeless. Our CCDC children are
the best!
