NEZU AYMO architects
is established in Amsterdam in april 2009 by Yukiko Nezu (JP) and
Skafte Aymo-Boot (DK) after ten years of working experience at
various Dutch and international architect offices.
Singel Flower Market
‘t Japanse Winkeltje
Through research and unconventional thinking we develop new
ideas in the form of buildings, urban plans, interiors, and spatial
concepts. We approach a given program with critical curiosity and
search for answers which make a simple and clear statement. The
building process has a central position in our work and we believe
that material knowledge combined with inspired detailing can
generate additional qualities.
NEZU AYMO has realized a number of small projects, was
nominated in 2010 for the LAI-award for the renovation of ‘t
Japanse Winkeltje in Amsterdam, won the first prize in the contest
‘De Knopen van de Drechtsteden’ with an urban / landscape plan
for de Kop van’t Land in Dordrecht in 2011 and won the Great
Indoors Award for the building Power Toilets in Heerhugowaard.
