Did you know that the Cathedral Flower
Guild decorates the Hyland Center gym,
Kenny Hall and the Cathedral for the
Easter Masses? Most parishioners don’t
get to see all the Easter decorations
because they see only the decorations in
the location where they attend Easter
Mass.
For example, last year approximately 2,100 people attended the three
Easter Masses in the Hyland Center,
700 in the three Masses held in Kenny
Hall, and 5,400 in the nine Masses
held in the Cathedral. That’s a total of
8,200 people who attended our Easter
Masses in 2010. Your donations to the
Easter Flowers provide the needed
Hyland Center
funds to have Easter flowers in all three
of our spaces where Easter Mass is
celebrated.
If you would like to donate to the Easter
Flowers while remembering a friend or
loved one, simply fill out the “Donate to
the Easter Flowers” card (available in the
pew or at the front desk); enclose cash or
Kenny Hall
check (made payable to Christ the King
Easter Flowers); and drop the purple “Easter Flowers” envelope in the
offertory basket, mail, or return it to the front desk. Parishioners may
also elect to donate electronically at www.cathedralofchristtheking.org.
Donations must be received by Monday, April 11 for the names to
appear in the Easter Sunday Bulletin.
Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross will be prayed each Friday during Lent at 7 pm in the
Cathedral. Please join us.

Stewardship of Treasure
How shall I repay the Lord for his goodness to me?” Psalm 116
The blind man was willing to let Jesus minister to him and willingly did all Jesus
asked of him. The Pharisees were more resistant to his message, spending their time
and energy to disprove the miracle. Which am I more like, the man born blind or
the Pharisees?

Farewell to Father Neil Dhabliwala
With the help of every student at Christ the King School, a touching farewell was
given to Father Neil Dhabliwala at his last school Mass on March 18. Students
gave praise to all of the wonderful support, participation and love that Father Neil
has given Christ the King School over the past three years.
The highlight of the Mass
was a very special duet sung
by 4th grade student Sydney
Buchanan and 5th grade
student Marcus Danckert.
Together they sang a
moving rendition of Andrea
Bocelli’s “The Prayer,” which brought many in attendance to
tears. It was an amazing and touching send off for Father Neil as he moves on to
his new role as Pastor of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dahlonega
and Campus Minister at North Georgia College, Dahlonega. Certainly, a Christ
the King School loss will be a St. Luke’s gain.

Please join us for a Night in the City on Saturday, April 30 under the "Big Top"

Gospel of Mark – Through April 17
Sunday mornings at 10:15 am in the Hyland Center Assembly Room
Come join us for a deep dive into a taut, compact, dynamic account of Jesus’ life:
the Gospel of Mark. Considered the first gospel, Mark is extremely important - it
portrays Jesus at his most human yet tantalizingly reveals his divine nature. Come
read the gospel as if you were an early Gentile (Mark's audience) hearing it for the
first time. Would you come to believe? Learn how Mark’s literary approach
dramatically unveils a great mystery: “Who is Jesus?” and “Why did he
come?”. Mark is not hard: you can read it in 90 minutes or less. We will meet on
Sundays from 10:15 - 11:45 am, now through April 17 in the Hyland Center
Assembly Room. There is no fee for this program. RSVP at
evangelization@ctking.com or 404-267-3671.

ayuda exterior. No podemos producirnos luz a nosotros mismos.
a Jesús, sufre varias pruebas. Es humillado. Es causa de discusiones. Se
encuentra aislado.

WELCOME FROM THE PASTOR AND
CATHEDRAL STAFF
Dear Friends in Christ,
On behalf of Archbishop Wilton Gregory, the Clergy and
staff, I welcome you to the Cathedral of Christ the King. I
hope and pray that you feel welcomed by our parish
community and that your spiritual and pastoral needs will
be met.
We are a very active parish with 4,300 families and over one
hundred ministries. We encourage our members to share
their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
Our mission statement is to “Know, Love and Serve as Jesus
Did”. This is the mission of each disciple of Christ and, if
you are new, I hope and pray that you will join us and be
part of the community of Christ the King. If you are passing
through or visiting the city of Atlanta, I hope you enjoy your
worship experience and please visit us again.
If you would like to know more about our parish, you can
visit our website at www.cathedralofchristtheking.org or
email us.
May we, this day and all the days of our lives, know, love
and serve as Jesus did.
Prayers and Blessings,
Father Frank McNamee, Pastor
