SCANWAY Matti Lankinen 01.04.2016 Background • • Vision is to develop and promote intelligent transport services for cross‐border passengers and cargo between Helsinki, St Petersburg and Moscow by combining transport modes and services ScanWay promotes smooth, safe, secure and environmental multi‐modal transport and logistics services utilizing the most advanced intelligent transport systems (ITS) and technologies: – Delivering cross‐border interoperable and harmonised services fulfilling user´s needs, requirements and expectations. – Enhancing exchange of traffic information – Supporting innovation, business and public sector processes in service development and implementation. Smart Transport Corridor objectives Cross‐border pilots ScanWay: Secure and responsive transport corridor between Helsinki and Moscow • Piloted services (in addition to utilisation of traffic information exchange and first pilot services): – Services defined in the ITS Directive (2010/40/EC) – Secure logistics for service providers and users • • • • Vehicle security with on board monitoring Cargo/asset tracking (security and value‐ added service aspects like ETA) Secure parking and border queue information Fleet and cargo management – Passenger services • • • Driver security Concierge services for cross‐border passengers (all transport modes) with Cesar help app Road side assistance • Pilots’ key benefits – Demonstrates technology for providing ITS Directive services seamlessly – Creates technology and knowledge for connected vehicles and related services – Less security risks in logistics and tourism – Services are available 24/7 in both countries – Compatibility with Nordic Way – Supports LiikenneLabra activities Cinia Cooperative ITS Platform • • • • Cinia tests its C‐ITS platform in ScanWay project providing safety related traffic information according to ITS Directive priority action c). Integration with Vediafi GoSmart application provides means of collecting and distributing this traffic safety information. GoSmart service provides efficient management of both unexpected and planned incidents and events by improving detection and accurate positioning of incidents and will be enhancing incident related traffic management and information. C‐ITS will also improve the quality of data on traffic conditions, events and incidents on the road transport network to be used in network operation and by service providers like Vaisala and Vediafi. Cesar Satellite – eLine eLine mobile application: ■ One‐click ability to send an alarm to mobilize the Cesar Satellite Emergency Response Team ■ Eliminates the necessity to remember or dial the emergency assistance phone number ■ Gives automatic Client location and identification when help is requested ■ Provides versatile and swift help in your Android and IoS phone when required 24/7 back office services: • Telephone consultations on both Russian and English on the issues connected with lawful protection against illegal encroachments. • On‐site assistance provided by Emergency Response Teams. • Concierge service. • Roadside assistance. • Translation service. • Aid and advice in legal matters The eLine service options are: ■ Weekend subscription ‐ 2 days in Russia ■ Weekly subscription ‐ 7 days in Russia ■ Monthly subscription ‐ 30 days in Russia VoiceInfo Contextual Traffic information ”Tie 1131 välillä Veikkola ‐ Lapinkylä.
