Epistle 715-524-3784 ESV Galatians 6:1-10, 14-16 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load. 6 One who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. 14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.16 And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. 17 From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen. Gospel 25 ESV Matthew 11:25-30 At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Life Quote “The Declaration of Independence … claims … the ultimate source of authority by stating … they were … ‘appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World for the rectitude of’ their ‘intentions’... The foundations of our independence and our Government rests upon basic religious convictions. Back of the authority of our laws is the authority of the Supreme Judge of the World, to whom we still appeal. It seems to me perfectly plain that the authority of law, the right to equality, liberty and property, under American institutions, have for their foundation reverence for God. If we could imagine that to be swept away, these institutions of our American government could not long survive.” President Calvin Coolidge, September 21, 1924 – A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life · www.lutheransforlife.org Lutheran Hour Ministries "Real Rest for the Weary" Lutheran Hour Speaker: Rev. Gregory Seltz Real rest is a gift from a gracious God Who draws us to Himself and fills the emptiness in our souls. (Matthew 11:25-30) Tune into Rev. All you need to do is take pictures of your grocery receipts with the Shoparoo app made for your smartphone. It doesn’t matter where you shop or what you buy—every receipt submitted results in a donation to our school. Receipts may come from any store that sells groceries such as convenience stores, grocery stores, SAMS, Market Day, etc. So, what are you waiting for? Simply download the free app from Apple App Store or the Google play Store by searching “shoparoo” and then select our school as your chosen cause. Since there is no limit to how much money we can raise with Shoparoo, be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to join in—every receipt counts! If you don’t have a SMART phone, we can still use your receipts! We have a container in the office that we are using to collect receipts that can be scanned and will add to our total donation.
