GOD CONTINUES TO HONOR OUR DREAMS
by Dr. Ed Carney, Senior Pastor
“THIS CHURCH WILL NEVER GROW OLD!”
said Ike French, one of our charter members.
That one statement explains why RHBC has
been (and is) such a special congregation.
From inception, the vision to make a spiritual
difference in the lives of people, especially
children and youth, has been a priority!
Dr. Ed Carney
Growth has been a hallmark in the history of
our church. “We set records this year!” Rev.
Tim Hawkins said of our first few months of
2009.
What an investment! Those numbers represent “eternities” and are only
a fragment of the entire story. We could close our facility down today
and thousands would still be together in heaven forever because of this
congregation.
“
Nothing gives such a grand return for the time, energy and money
like an investment in the Kingdom of God. God
has honored and will continue to honor the
dreams and prayers of RHBC. There are some
wonderful rewards waiting for all who made

Chaplain Ministry
Turning playing fields into mission fields!
The recLife Chaplain Ministry is one of the
most important components of the recLife
ministry at Riverland Hills. recLife chaplains
partner with coaches to build relationships
and provide spiritual leadership for
participants in our recLife leagues.
The chaplain roles are typically filled by
men who do not participate on the teams,
but who enjoy the athletic environment
and are driven by their passion to lead
other men into more meaningful and
purposeful relationships with Christ.
If you are interested in serving
as a recLife Chaplain or learning
more about the ministry, please visit
www.riverlandhills.org/recreation.asp
and click on the “Chaplain Ministry” link.
