For over 50 years Phil Peterson earned the respect and admiration of 1000’s upon 1000’s of bikers, not only from here in South Florida but from all over the world. He was a truly generous and awesome person that made everyone who ever met him feel as though they were part of his family... and in many ways that was true. I would bet my motorcycle on that. His wallet was open to those who were in need. For years, when Phil was in his office he would receive calls from many local charities asking for a gift (or even a motorcycle) to raffle off for this or that charity, and more often than not they would get something to raise money for their charity. On more than a few occassions, when I lived a lot closer to the north store, I would stop by and shoot the bull with Phil in his 2nd floor office overlooking the showroom. Every time... and I mean EVERY time I was there he would get a call from someone asking for this or that. I never heard him say no except one time when someone from the Dade County Democratic party asked him to bring a new bike out to some golf course and sponsor a hole in one event... and pay for the $1500 insurance as well. His answer did not go over too well with them at all. But he did give to hundred’s of charities over the years and he helped get 1000’s of new riders on a Harley. If Phil Peterson was not the person he was, I bet more than a few people would either not be riding or be riding a Honda or Yamahaha! Phil of course (and now his kids) have given the Toy Run bike every year since that first Sportster 28 years ago. In the beginning Phil donated the bike himself, than Fort Lauderdale, and now Chester’s go in half on the bike with ALL the money raised going to Joe Dimaggio Children’s Hospital. And for years, until his unfortunate accident, Phil would have a pocket full of toy run tickets and would hawk them to everyone who came up to him. One year I remember Rest in Peace my friend LUFQ “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 6 counting tickets with him in his office to make sure every one was accounted for. He ended up selling almost $20,000 worth, and that was before he started mailing booklets to his HOG members. And he expecially loved to pull that winning ticket at the north store. He made a production of it by not just pulling the 3 winning tickets but for a few years he would give out a few hundred dollars worth of t-shirts, hats, gloves, key chains, and all sorts of giveaways so everyone went home a winner. He was one of a kind - I won’t be meeting another Phil Peterson in my lifetime... it will be your very good luck if you do. So this takes me to the memorial celebration and ride in his honor. Well over 500 friends and relatives were at the north store on October 24th at 11AM to hear CMA pastor “Bifer” (who rode down from Ocala just for Phil) give a terrific eulogy about Phil. Then Phil’s favorite son (I’m just kidding Drew) read the speech he had read at Phil’s funeral a few weeks prior. It was hard not to hold back tears as he read his speech, for him as well as most everyone under the tent. A few other friends got up and said a few more words about Phil then right afterwards everyone got on their bikes and proceeded out to Cafe’ 27 where I had previously placed Phil’s granite mounted bronze plaque at the Motorcyclist’s Memorial Gardens. Cafe’ 27 put out a lunch buffet compliments of the Peterson’s. Drew got on stage and gave short speech about his dad and then invited everyone to the memorial gardens for the unveiling of Phil’s plaque. Phil would have approved... even if there may have been a Democrat or two in the crowd. Other events that Sharon and I attended this past month were the Grand Opening of the Mystic Seven’s new clubhouse in Pompano. After a month of the guys renovating the bare walls warehouse it was time to show it off! All I can say (well I could say a lot...) is what a hell of a really great job they did. Beautiful bar, drop ceiling, professional paint job, enclosed duct work, a real nice bathroom - too nice to use it so I peed outside against the wall (just kidding..) this is one of the nicest clubhouses in town. And of course what is a Mystic Seven party without a ton of food! And as the trays enptied they were refilled before you could say, “is there any more pasta”? Don’t be a stranger when they start Miami Mike continues on page 26 In loving memory of Bernie, Chrissy, Clay, Big Ed, Bob Amchir, Animal, Ricky, Pervert, Roger-Kenny & Pauly 1%’ers, Mojo, Vinny Margotta, Poppy, Gunslinger, “Louie”, Davida, Daldone, Irene Powell, Dave Carter & Phil Peterson Page 7 RIDING, DOWN SOUTH “In Loving Memory of My Dad” By Axman... Axman@axmanpictures.com The last event I covered in September took place at Cowboy’s Saloon in Davie on Sunday (09/20). The Keltics MC had invited everybody to come out and join in their “Ride em’ Hard Pardee 5". As usual, tons of people followed their invitation and the parking lot and the bar filled up in hurry. The bar inside is huge enough to offer enough room to accommodate a large crowd. The best thing is that the girls behind the different bars are very efficient and on top of everything very nice to look at. Soulicide entertained the masses like no LUFQ “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” other band can. Everybody had a great time and nobody seemed to want to leave the party, including myself. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Beacon as he took care of my bar bill that day. Thank you Beacon! That was very kind of you and very much appreciated. On behalf of Mater and the members of the Keltics MC, I want to thank everybody that came out in support of their event. On Saturday (10/03) the day my wife and I have been waiting for so long had finally arrived. It was the day before Vicky’s birthday and our cruise was about to start. Both of us had been working hard 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 8 Hey... will it kill ya’ to mail in $25 bucks after all the years you’ve been reading WOTR for free? And eventually, when WOTR is not around you will only have yourself to blame. leading up to the day of departure. I spent crazy long hours at the office in order to transfer files and get shipments set up. I finally left the office Friday after 1:00 a.m., knowing that I had done what I could to ensure that my coworkers would not be too overwhelmed with the work I had left for them while I was out having fun. My wife found us that great deal on Norwegian Cruise Lines for a seven days cruise with a room with a small patio and free unlimited ( and I mean unlimited) booze. The last time I completely disconnected was about sixteen years ago. Our last cruise dates back even twenty two years when Vicky and I were on our Honeymoon. By speaking of Honeymoon, we met a young Chinese couple that just got married on board the first day of the cruise. A friend of theirs was taking their wedding photos. Obviously, I could not help myself and I took some snaps as well. I showed them the photos in my camera, handed them my business card and I offered to send them some of the images free of charge as long as they sent me a message with their e-mail address. Every time they saw me, they started yelling my name “Hey Axman” across the bars and pool followed by frantic waiving at me which called for more photos. I certainly did not expect to hear my name called on ship with four thousand strangers. The Norwegian Getaway is a beautiful ship. It is about two years old. The food and service was impeccable. We opted to up-grade our food package which was money well spent. It allowed us to dine in the Japanese Restaurant for Vicky’s Birthday, a French and an Italian restaurant and for the last night on board we selected the Steak House. My God, the food was absolutely incredible. The entertainment was exceptionally great as well. In addition to that we booked excursions in St. Thomas, Tortola and Nassau. In St. Thomas and Tortola we booked a trip on an open bus that took us all around the islands and to some very nice beaches. The scenery on these two islands was spectacular and it made for some great Kodak moments. In Nassau, we had booked the Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis. I was really looking forward to using all these great slides and to see the Aquarium but I got really sick so we had to cut our stay. The next morning I woke up around 5:30 a.m. We had just passed Fisher Island and I saw the port of Miami. Seeing all the containers, ships and cranes, I knew that reality got me back. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and we will make sure to book a cruise at least once a year. We were really able to recharge our batteries. I have to thank one of my coworkers in particular. Now, for anyone not aware of what happened at the Pembroke Pines Hooters Wednesday night Bike Night - that it has been cancelled or suspended – however you want to call - This is what happened about 6 weeks ago. The video evidence released by the police department (shot by one of the bikers with a GoPro camera mounted to his helmet), clearly shows a group of sport bikes leaving Hooters and heading East on Pines Blvd. While sitting at a red traffic light, a cop rolls through the light with his lights and siren on heading to a call, which just happened to be another motorcycle accident down the road. As the video shows, the lead bike suddenly decides to blow the red light and pursue the cop. Then the group also blows the red light and follows. What I was “unofficially” told (that is not seen in the video or officially reported), is that the lead bike got alongside of the cop (while still heading to his call), got his attention, flipped him off, then pulled a wheelie and pulled away. The biker quickly lost control of his bike and crashed into an object or pole on the side of the road and subsequently died. The video shows the group rolling up to the stopped police car and the biker down on the side of the road. His death and the fact that the video footage shows them pulling out from Hooters Bike Night is what got the event shut down. The city came out and cited numerous code violations, including no permits, and forced Hooters to shut the event down. With bikes continuing to roll in week after week anyway, they decided to have police come out and block exits and set up a “safety inspection” which has resulted in numerous citations and some arrests. The news reported that this has been going on for about 5 weeks or so. The disrespect of the sport bikes riding wheelies and high speeds down Pines and through residential areas has been an issue over the years, and this death was the final straw! Until next month…B-Cool Tattoo Dave Amchir In loving memory of Bernie, Chrissy, Clay, Big Ed, Bob Amchir, Animal, Ricky, Pervert, Roger-Kenny & Pauly 1%’ers, Mojo, Vinny Margotta, Poppy, Gunslinger, “Louie”, Davida, Daldone, Irene Powell, Dave Carter & Phil Peterson Page 11 Good News By Doug Scofield DougWOTR@gmail.com November is the month that we come together as family and friends to give thanks for all that we have been given. It may surprise some; but we have not earned anything without the gifts and talents that our Creator has blessed us with. It’s the one time in the year that many take the time to actually thank God for the food that is placed in front of them which in reality is a meal fit for a king. From My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers: The Bible does not say that God punished the human race for one man’s sin, but that the nature of sin, namely, my claim to my right to myself, entered into the human race through one man. But it also says that another Man took upon Himself the sin of the human race and put it away— an infinitely more profound revelation (see Hebrews 9:26 ). The nature of sin is not immorality and wrongdoing, but the nature of self-realization which leads us to say, “I am my own god.” This nature may exhibit itself in proper morality or in improper immorality, but it always has a common basis — my claim to my right to myself. We are a selfish people... it’s all about me me me! How often are our prayers all about what we want? Even with the most admirable motive we are asking God to bless us. During this holiday season let us take the time to bless God. How do I do that you ask? He loves to talk to us (prayer). He loves to hear us sing to Him (worship). The best way to bless God is to give Him your heart. It’s a simple process. Pray: Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, forgive me of my sins, wash me clean. I believe that you died for my sins and on the third day rose from the dead. I invite you into my heart and into my life, amen. If you prayed that prayer you are what your Christian friends call saved. Congratulations! Your life will never be the same, if you truly meant it! There will be a sense of peace and purpose and for some, there will be hope where before there was none. It seems like such a simple plan but it was a costly one for God. Could you imagine giving up your only son to die in such a terrible way. Well it’s something our heavenly Father did just so you can come live with Him forever. Hebrew 9:27-28 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Are you ready? Remember Jesus died for bikers too! If I or Calvary Chapel MM can be of any service please feel free to e-mail me or call me at 954-4481235. Riding free on the Treasure Coast, Doug LUFQ “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 12 The Times We Live In By: Charley_Blackwolf@aol.com THE PLIGHT OF SYRIAN AND OTHER REFUGEES: Notice none of them are headed to Russia, China, India or Africa. What is happening to these people is clearly a tragedy, however … and this is a point that needs to be reinforced... the reason they have lost their homes, their children are dying, and mayhem and destruction exists is because a couple of assholes from their region and of their faith decided to drive airplanes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania farm and kill over 3000 Americans. The hard facts associated with the genocide these people are suffering … the “root cause” is because several assholes existing on the fringe of the Muslim religion from the mid-east started a war with the United States back in 2001. And, unfortunately like all wars, once it starts individual rights no longer matter. Poke a sleeping bear with a stick and it will indiscriminately slaughter anything around it. Is it “right” that Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan, Egyptian, Afghan, etc. families have to suffer? Well, on September 11, 2001, over 3000 Americans went to work and didn’t come home to theirs. The United States didn’t start the war! And political reality, either by design or accident, is the United States has served to destabilize the region to the point where local societies can either get radical elements and corruption under control or spend the next “who-knows-how-many” years killing each other. Why should Europeans or Americans allow these displaced peoples into their countries? As a minimum they represent financial and social burdens no one wants to deal with. Additionally, the large number of unemployable males represent strategic danger to local populations in accentuating crime and in developing necessary sub-structures to continue the work of religious fanatics that see European and Americans as evil. In fact, the best course of action would be to bar all males from entry to any European country or the United States, or anywhere else for that matter and send them back to their countries of origin to fix the problems. As “men” it’s their job to do that, not run away. It’s not an American or European problem and by the males of these societies not facing up to their issues and expecting US/European help only serves to extend misery and suffering on local levels. Until they understand, like a city siege from biblical times that we will blockade them geographically, financially and militarily so nothing goes in, nothing comes out, that we will not help them and we will let them and their families die they will continue the search for the path of least resistance and not face the issues in their homeland. The message needs to be clear: Want to stop watching your children die? Then stop allowing assholes to exist in your society, get rid of corruption, stop blaming the United States and Europe for your misery and stop using religion as a platform to justify killing and mayhem. Then, when you demonstrate you have become civilized, perhaps once again you will be welcomed on the world market to conduct commerce. Vladimir is bombing Syrians. Oh darn! Here’s the thing. Vladimir’s guys have one rule of engagement (ROE), “if it moves, shoot it.” We... on the other hand... when one of our guys sees a target, he has to call his boss, who has to call Brigade, who has to call Division, who has to call the Pentagon, who calls Congress, who convenes a committee, that then calls Odumbo... Of course by the time all that stupidity has gone down and word gets back to our guy he’s either dead or the target is gone. As a result Vladimir will serve to stabilize the region and Assad will owe him big time. As a result Senior Assad won’t take a shit without asking Vladimir what color and how much. Trump is right, we have nothing to lose by standing by while the Russians clean that mess up. The “We need sensible gun control legislation” is the same political nonsense that has been going on since 1960’s. Just the usual, “vote-forme-Saturday-night-special” bullshit from current crop of ineffective institutionalized politicians. In 1969 Johnson issued policy recommendations to address gun violence and statistics on firearms aren’t much different than today’s figures. The focus needs to be on violence and how to protect people from some freak, that due to deranged mental capacity and social circumstance, decides the path to success is kill innocent people using knives, explosives, airplanes, a firearm or whatever else they can get their hands on. This kind of crap has been going on since the beginning of humankind, There is always some asshole that figures killing innocents will right a wrong they have suffered. Removing the method will not change anything, dedicated crazies will find a way. Example: sucide bombers in Bagdad. All that is achieved is stripping the law-abiding citizen the ability to protect themselves. This is terrorism since the goal is to gain access to news media in order to promote a “political” statement as a result of the despicable act(s) they propagate. We, as a nation, need to do better in ensuring potential victim(s) have awareness of risk be it workplace, theater, school or city park, and how to protect themselves. Just a different mental model could make a difference in mitigating consequences. For example... in a situation involving firearms, utilizing military, police, swat teams etc, to provide training in regard to simple things like making people aware that a moving target is much harder to hit than a stationary one and moving at right angles to the shooter will enhance the odds of not being a casualty. Without extensive practice most people are not proficient with a handgun or at hitting moving targets. In a survival situation this can be taken advantage of as well as utilizing any sort of barricade or protective object, fire extinguisher, book bag, baseball bat etc. to upset the adversaries balance and focus. The goal is to buy time, increase safety margin and minimize casualties until help can arrive because, with the exception of military or police, it is fair to say that it would not be typical where someone would be armed and have the necessary skill set to return fire. However there are certainly those that can function in that role and additionally, that sort of training in the way of concealed carry, firearm proficiency and potential life threating aversary identification should be available to our citizens. Example: Brazilian rain forest, 1970’s. Some asshole decided to rob the local bus. Of the 33 individuals on board, 31 pulled out a gun and shot him. Problem solved! Same with knives or explosives or an airplane. Awareness training needs to be developed so our citizens have tools to do all they can to get something between them and the threat, be it distance, movement or a barricade and increase their margin of safety. Certainly it is reasonable to assume we would like to not have to learn dangerious aversary identfication the same way the citizens of Bagdad have had to do it. Which makes more sense than this silly shit the political community is spewing out about how they are going to protect us by implementing gun control laws. Shades of Hitler’s Germany in that “sensible gun control” message and it is one that will never wash well with the American public. Last; Mr. Katon Dawson, former Chair of the South Carolina Republican Party has decided to establish a Super-Pac fund to stop Trump. This clown represents all establishment losers that have us in the current situation. Trump is scaring the hell out of them because they know when he is president, he will hold the assholes accountable. I have partied, had fun, rode my bike lots, had a road trip, worked at two events, grieved over the loss of a dear friend and fellow ABATE brother, and witnessed the sentencing of a pickup truck driver who killed a biker on the highway, and by law, “just got a slap on the wrist.” The 35th Annual ABATE Southeast Chapter’s event was held at Mickey’s on October 11th, and I want to thank everyone for coming out to support our cause of fighting for your biker rights. The weather was perfect (dry). We had great support from MC’s, independents, and friends as well as from vendors, Mickey’s owner Alan and his great staff, and the band JACT who rocked the house. LUFQ day and made it a success! Thank you all. Unfortunately only four days prior to this event one of our active ABATE life members and personal friend, Lionel “Primo” Arista, passed away. It was a great shock to all. He was remembered at this event by all who attended and shared in the celebration of his life. Primo had many friends as evidenced by the large number of attendees who came up from South Miami to show their respects. A memorial plaque for Primo will be placed, together with a remembrance service, at the Café 27 Biker Memorial Garden on Saturday, Nov 14th at 11AM. The ABATE of Florida Safety and “Primo” Education, Inc., sponsored its first annual 3-day Avon Park Autumn Bike Fest the first weekend in October. The entire main street of Avon Park was used as the focal point of this event and the street was restricted to motorcycles only traffic and parking during the weekend. Several of us rode up together Friday and volunteered to work. Harry Ness and I were assigned to security, watching the eastern end of Main Street and T-Man assisted the state at their membership booth. Other SE members enjoying the festivities were Marie Baxter, Frank Gartin, Cesar Tejera and Chuck and Lisa Wilde. The townspeople were very friendly and inviting and we all had a lot of fun - I even have a few scars to prove it. The State ABATE office has announced they are going to have this event again during the same timeframe next year. Following breakfast in Sebring Sunday morning we rode back to town, after a few stops of course, to support the Mystic Seven’s MC Annual being held at Mickey’s. They had a very well-attended and great event. This past month, the Southeast Chapter membership was out and about visiting several clubhouses, events, and ABATE Southeast advertisers. To name a few, we visited the Midnight Reapers MC’s clubhouse for their Wednesday night open house; the States MC’s tribute to Dirty Ralph, Mr. Phil Peterson’s Memorial Service; Mystic Seven’s MC new clubhouse grand opening, and many more. In my August article I shared that one of our SE Chapter members, Steven Cohen, was participating in a ride in Hendry County with a Broward County social riding group when he witnessed the killing of their lead rider who was T-boned while attempting to make a left turn on a two lane highway. He was leading 15 other riders who had their left turn signals on and left arms extended to signify their intentions. A pickup truck suddenly came speeding up (he was cited for doing 75 MPH in a 45 MPH zone), trying to pass the group in a NO PASSING ZONE (double yellow line – which he was also cited for). The lead rider was killed instantly when executing the left turn. The driver was cited just with a traffic citation. On October 21st, I accompanied Steven “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 14 MY CO STA RICAN RETIREMENT COSTA By Doob: DoobCR@gmail.com to the Hendry County Court House where he and other witnesses had been summoned to testify. Long story short, the driver changed his plea to “no contest” for all charges (speeding and passing in a no passing zone). He made a brief apology to the family members present for their loss. The presiding judge addressed those of us in the courtroom prior to sentencing the driver by basically saying, “this is not what most of you want to hear but I am bound by the State of Florida legislative statutes in determining the sentencing for the offenses cited, and not to prove criminal intent.” Then the judge pronounced the driver’s sentence: a $1,000.00 fine and loss of driving privileges for six months. As far as intent, I believe the driver didn’t intend to kill anyone that day, however he ignored the circumstances of the riders having left turn signals on and their slowing to turn. He deliberately and illegally attempted to pass them on the left at a high rate of speed with grave consequences. That deserves a greater penalty than a traffic citation. In every article I have written I have been trying to galvanize the biker community to effect change in Florida’s legislative statutes to support the Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) HB 253 and SB 332 bills that are currently being considered in the Florida House and Senate committees. The fact of the matter is that unless the biker community becomes politically active and starts calling, emailing, and telling our legislators to support this “stiffer penalties” legislation, nothing is going to change. Hopefully all of you who read this feel as I do. If I was the victim in a case like this, I want the killer to do some “hard” time and not get away with just a traffic citation. All of you please support the biker community and make your voice be heard in Tallahassee by contacting the following to support the VRU legislation: HB 253, Rep. Carlos Trujillo (Chairman), 850.717.5105, carlos.trujillo@myfloridahouse.com and SB 332, Sen. Jeff Brandes (Chairman), 850.487.5022, brandes.jeff@flsenate.gov. If you are not a member, the Southeast ABATE of Florida Chapter needs you to join our cause to protect your motorcycle rights. ABATE represents all of Florida’s motorcycles even if you are not an ABATE member, but we need your membership to support our efforts in protecting your “Right to Decide.” Membership forms are in our monthly newsletter and located on our Southeast Chapter’s website www.abatese.org. To our current ABATE members, PLEASE keep your contact information current. If you have made any changes (address, email, phone) please contact T-Man, our membership director, with your updated information at membership@abatese.us. Everyone is invited to attend the Southeast Chapter’s monthly meetings and events. At the next meeting I will be asking the Chapter membership’s opinion on the State’s proposal to raise annual and lifetime dues, and the proposal to accept business memberships in ABATE. Plus, Axman will be there to take a group picture of those present to be included on a Chapter Christmas Card to be sent to our supporters and advertisers. Currently the monthly member birthday party is being held after the Chapter meeting. Our next meeting is November 15th at the American Legion Post 321, 9081 SW 51st, Cooper City, at 10 a.m. To keep up to date with the ABATE Southeast Chapter, checkout our website (abatese.org) or call our Hotline 24/7 (954-310-4636) for Chapter information. Only had 2 small fractures in the fibula foot bone with 5 nasty boils around my swollen ankle. So now I’m working on the bike, I replaced the bent front brake rotor with a new one and fixed the foot brake alum pad that broke off injuring my foot. Put my crash bars back on. Should have never taken them off. 61/2 weeks later I’m walking good and ready for a test ride. Checked the oil and nothing in the tank. Thought must have leaked out in the accident. Added oil, rode around the block only to find oil coming up and leaking out the top. I forgot how oil drains into the crank case after a few weeks sometimes. Drained some oil out and next day went on a Sunday club 100 mile ride. We skipped the toll road, and rode secondary roads that had over patched repair on pot holes. I was a little shaky trying to handle my extended, raked front end, bouncing up, down, and all around looking for a clear path to follow. It was a bitch keeping in staggered position in the group. After the breakfast stop, dark clouds moved in and 5 of us decided to head back to S.J. We made it before heavy rain - hub cap deep in some city streets - moved in. I’m getting better but, still with a sore up lifted bone in my left shoulder that emits a dull pain now and then. Hanging in there in pussy paradise for us old bikers. Thank you Team, you made it possible for me to enjoy my vacation and not having to come back to a nightmare on my desk. The following day (10/11) I attended the Southeast ABATE’s 35th Annual Event which took place at Mickey’s. This was a kickass event with many bikers in attendance. The turnout was much bigger, compared to the previous years. Jimmy “Les” Lesniak was the EMCEE for the afternoon. As usual, he did an outstanding job to keep the crowd entertained by handing out door and 50/50 prizes. A lot of vendors displayed their goodies and it seemed that they were doing some real good business. The live music was provided by JACT. Their tunes kept the dance floor packed all afternoon long. We also had a toast for one of ABATE’s longstanding Life members, “Primo”, who had just passed away a couple of days earlier. I really have to take off my hat to the Fireball Wrecking Crew, they showed up in full force and started a collection for Primo’s family. This only shows what a great biker community we live in. Thank you guys! On Saturday (10/24) I attended the Memorial Ride for Phil Peterson. It was a police escorted ride from their store in North Miami to Café 27. A huge crowd had gathered to show their final respects to a great man. Phil “Sheridan’ Peterson a/k/a Mr. P. was an icon and a legend in South Florida and beyond. He was a very generous and kind man who had done so many great things for the local biker community over the years. The amount of people that showed up was a true reflection of how much he was loved by everybody. Phil’s son Dirk gave a heartfelt speech while holding back his tears. Many other people stepped forward to reminisce about the interaction that they have had with Mr. P. I left a little early as I wanted to be at Café 27 before the pack rode in. There were about 500 motorcycles in the procession. A very nice spread of food was served to the hungry crowd. A very nice bronze plaque mounted on a beautiful granite stone was put down in Mr. P.’s honor at the South Florida Motorcyclist’s Memorial Garden at Café 27. Phil Peterson will be missed by many, but he will never ever be forgotten. My condolences go out to the entire Peterson family, friends and staff. R.I.P Mr. P! On my LUFQ “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” way home I stopped at Chester’s Harley-Davidson where the Broward Nam Knights MC were holding an event to raise money for local Veterans organizations and charities. Lots of vendors had pitched up their tents. 50/50, raffle drawings, beer and drinks, supplied by Uncle Al’s and music by Mr. Nice Guy sweetened this fund-raising effort. It was also meant to raise aware of PSTD. E.B and Judy Chester, in connection with the Broward Nam Knights MC, donated a bike to a young Marine Veteran who served in Afghanistan and is suffering from 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 18 this disease. Why is ABATE membership not growing as it did in the late 1980s? Why does the new biker generation allow the forces that be walk all over them as if they were door mats? I ask these questions because the straw has broken the camel’s back and I am pissed off living in a society of pure discrimination against you and me for being bikers. I am talking about negligent drivers with no insurance or proper documentation for their vehicles that cause bodily injury to those in our community and get off with only a slap on the wrist. I was with the new SE ABATE chapter Prez Frank “T” Hammons, (who always accuses me of spelling his name wrong), and during our conversation after the SE ABATE Annual, which also included a celebration of life of “Primo”, described a matter of Frank “T” concern. The week prior Frank sat in a court room proceeding where a man was prosecuted for mowing down a group of bikers minding their own business while they were riding in an organized fashion. Witnesses stated that the bikers took a turn with their turn-signals on and in addition gave the hand-turn-signal. This man just bowled them over killing one of the brothers. In court all he got WAS SENTENCED TO A $1,000 FINE AND A 6-MONTH SUSPENSION OF HIS DRIVER’S PRIVILEGES. THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! Some LEOs are great guys and extremely respectful while others need Jesus in their lives. Many protect us and give us slack when we know we are wrong but then there is that element that just does NOT like bikers. In the last few months my office has received a rise in phone calls looking for an attorney that handles traffic violations. It seems that there have been a lot of equipment modification violations. Loud pipes, colored lights that represent law enforcement, tickets for no medical insurance coverage for not wearing a helmet (I’ll cover that further down), and other types of tickets that fills the LEO’s coffers but leaves you scrambling to make the rent money. I always refer them to a buddy of mine because I only handle Family law, Motorcycle & Auto Accidents and minor immigration issues. What bothers me the most is bikers that get a ticket for wearing a helmet. Yeah, you heard me right... a ticket for failure to wear a DOT helmet. Florida Statute 316.211(1) Equipment for motorcycle and moped riders states that, “A person may not operate or ride upon a motorcycle unless the person is properly wearing protective headgear securely fastened upon his or her head which complies with Federal Motorcycle Vehicle Safety Standard 218 promulgated by the United States Department of Transportation. The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles shall adopt this standard by agency rule.” I hope all you NY refugees and snow birds get this so there is no confusion. There is an exception that was fought hard and won by ABATE of Florida: Florida Statute 316.211(3)(b) that states, “Notwithstanding subsection (1), a person over 21 years of age may operate or ride upon a motorcycle without wearing protective headgear LUFQ securely fastened upon his or her head if such person is covered by an insurance policy providing for at least $10,000 in medical benefits for injuries incurred as a result of a crash while operating or riding on a motorcycle.” When you’re pulled over you whip out your driver license and insurance card with a smile on your face. I know there is sticker shock when you apply for the $10K in medical insurance. Your PIP insurance on your cage insurance does NOT meet the requirements for your motorcycle? NO, you must have $10K medical payment insurance or some type of healthcare coverage that does not exclude motorcycles with at least $10K in coverage. If you’re a U.S. Veteran maybe the VA can meet the insurance requirements for your motorcycle. Only if you are retired or 100% disabled. Contact your local VA office for confirmation of your coverage. Does that hot babe on the back of your bike have to have their own insurance? Not if your insurance covers both you and that hot babe, but then again, she is only hot until morning when that hangover kicks in... LOL! If it doesn’t then that chick needs to have her own insurance coverage. You may ask if you don’t have a FL registered bike or driver’s license do you still need to wear a helmet? The answer is you need to be at least 21 years of age and have at least $10K worth of medical insurance to be able to operate or ride upon a motorcycle without a helmet. No one said freedom is free and insurance is getting costly so you may have to pay to play without a helmet in Florida. I remember when I was contacted by a friend & member of the Combat Vets in Alachua County, Florida that certain patch holders were threatened with “arrests” for having whips on their bikes & not taking it off after several warnings. Seems certain Alachua Sheriff’s Office (ASO) deputies in their opinion deemed it’s a dangerous weapon. I studied the legal issue presented to me in the scope of the Florida Statutes and Florida State case law. I concluded that it was legal to run with the whips hanging off your bike’s levers as most do. Historically: The Chilhowee Motorcycle Leather company online states that, “back in the day, you’d see bikers sporting whips - hanging from their clutch or brake levers as they rode. The leather whips were usually made from the biker’s club colors - to display their colors and for club recognition. But the whips were a whole lot more than just leather club colors. A biker whip could be quickly released and used “in case of emergency.” Today in South Florida I see many riders with whips hanging from their clutch or brake levers. That is why I found it troubling that certain LEO’s would target certain riders in Alachua County, my old stomping grounds in Hawthorne (a one traffic light / one diner town), and threaten motorcyclists with loss of freedom by way of arrest. These bikers that were pulled over were told it was a weapon, yes you heard right a weapon! Weapon is defined as follows under Fla. Stat. § 790.001(13): “Weapon” means any dirk, knife, metallic knuckles, slungshot, billie, tear gas gun, chemical weapon or device, or other deadly weapon except a firearm or a common pocketknife, plastic knife, or blunt-bladed table knife.” (No mention of whips) Based on my quick research, Fla. Stat. § 495.111(1)(a)(18), has whips under commercial leather goods and is the ONLY mention of whips I found in Florida law. I checked case law and a Whip is not considered a weapon. The only restriction on whips I found is the licensing of race horses and how a jockey can use his whip in a horse race. This does not mean some “aggressive” LEO wont arrest you, but I think you have a solid case in law should you fight the charges. (I would Google the Fl Stat, print it out and carry it with you) In my short research of Florida Statutes, opinions, and case law... whips on bikes are motorcycle accessories NOT weapons! If you take the whip and start beating your ol’ lady than this article does not apply to you since you’re causing bodily harm or possibly death in a crime of aggravated battery. YOU SHOULD NOT WHOLLY RELY ON THIS ARTICLE, BUT FOLLOW UP WITH A FLORIDA LICENSED ATTORNEY IF YOU HAVE A LEGAL ISSUE. (Hey... just covering “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” Gabe continues on the page 22 15 Years - November 2015 • Issue #193 • Page 20 In loving memory of Bernie, Chrissy, Clay, Big Ed, Bob Amchir, Animal, Ricky, Pervert, Roger-Kenny & Pauly 1%’ers, Mojo, Vinny Margotta, Poppy, Gunslinger, “Louie”, Davida, Daldone, Irene Powell, Dave Carter & Phil Peterson Page 21 Gabe continues from page 20 my ass there with my disclaimer... you know how people are these days). I get folks calling me all week long seeking representation for violations that were exclusively for Daytona Beach Police officers during Bike Week’s trumped up traffic stops. They tell me they are disrespected and made to feel like a POS on the side of the road. Some thought the stop took too long like they were searching in hopes of a warrant from somewhere would come over the radio. I even had a few people that stated they were framed and that they never committed the traffic infraction. This makes it hard for me because some people are so full of “Mielda,” and the jails being chock full of innocent folks that it makes it hard for me to see if the caller is authentic or is simply looking for sympathy. In an effort to help the biker community and the guys that gets pulled over habitually I have thrown down some laws that you should know about: Handlebar Height - No higher than top of shoulders of the operator when seated upon the motorcycle; Florida Statutes, 316.2095 (2). Lane Splitting - Not authorized; Florida Statutes, 316.209 (2), (3); The operator of a motorcycle shall not overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. No person shall operate a motorcycle between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles. Maximum Sound Level (Tail Pipes) - Manufactured before 1/1/79—82 dBA (35 mph or less); 86dBA (over 35 mph). Manufactured after 1/1/ 79—78 dBA (35 mph or less); 82 dBA (over 35 mph). Florida Statutes, 316.293 (2) Mirrors - One required by law; Florida Statutes, 316.294 Radar Detector - No Restriction Accept Motorcycle Endorsement From Other States – Yes, but accept rider Ed completion card from other states is a NO/no! Helmet Speakers - No earphones allowed. Helmet speakers are allowed. Taillight - An OHV that is operated between sunset and sun rise, or when visibility is reduced because of rain, smoke, smog must display a lighted head lam and tail lamp unless the use of such lights is prohibited by other laws such as a prohibition on the use of lights when hunting at night. Passenger Seat - Required if carrying a passenger; Florida Statutes, 316.2085 (a). Motorcycles operating two abreast in same lane - Yes. All motorcycles are entitled to full use of a lane and no motor vehicle shall be driven in such manner as to deprive any motorcycle of the full use of a lane. This subsection shall not apply to motorcycles operated two abreast in a single lane. Motorcycles shall not be operated more than two abreast in a single lane; Florida Statutes, 316.209 (1), (4). Headlight - An OHV that is operated between sunset and sun rise, or when visibility is reduced because of rain, smoke, smog must display a lighted head lam and tail lamp unless the use of such lights is prohibited by other laws such as a prohibition on the use of lights when hunting at night. During my 16,000+ mile motorcycle ride, in Alaska I killed a deer by blinding the damn beast with excessive lighting that incurred over $2500 property damage to my bike... does that count as hunting??? But everyone was having a good time. Gabe and Frank T did talk about the death of SE ABATE Life member, “Primo”, who had passed away just a week before. Primo was a very good guy and my first official $25 VIP way back when. He got the first VIP patch and always wore it on his brown leather vest for years. On Saturday, November 14th at 11AM, there will be a plaque unveiling at the Cafe’ 27 Memorial plot were we just held Phil Peterson’s memorial. Everyone is invited to attend, and hopefully all SE ABATE members, and everyone who knew him, will be there. (And not just the same dozen ABATE members... how about a few hundred or ALL members to show some respect.) Freddy (A1 Promotions) threw himself a “3rd year writing for WOTR party” at V-Twin City. (That’s Freddy) Well it was actually a damn good party. Lots of professional musicial entertainment, some crazy ass dancing guy who I have seen at Cagney’s before, a full bar, and FREE BBQ from Twisted Pig (who was also at the ABATE party) And that is some good BBQ! First on October 11th we headed to the ABATE of Florida Southeast Chapter’s 35th Annual Event at Mickey’s. This is ABATE Southeast Chapter’s biggest event of the year and one of the most enjoyable ones. We pulled up and was greeted with many brothers and sisters having a great time. It’s always good to be able to socialize with the people you love and you’ll find none better than our brothers and sisters from ABATE Southeast Chapter. Between 350 and 400 bikers from all over South Florida came to support ABATE Southeast Chapter in our fight for “Biker Rights and Biker’s Safety”. ABATE of Florida is the only Biker Rights organization in Florida that fights for all Biker’s rights. If you’re not a member you should be. Doesn’t matter what you ride come and join us. You can join by going to our website at: http:// www.abatese.org/about/join/ index.htm. The music was by JACT and they were awesome, played old and new Rock ‘N’ Roll. They kept the crowd pleased all afternoon. All round a great band. It was an awesome day and great to get out and ride again with my girl and friends. We hope to get out soon again. Then on October 18th, even though it was very cloudy, it was an awesome day to ride with 7 of our friends. We headed out of West Palm with the destination of Archie’s Seabreeze up in Ft. Pierce. We hit no rain all the time we were riding, just a few sprinkles. But it rained at Archie’s while we were eating but it only lasted for about 20 minutes. It’s good to have friends like we have to ride with. We got to meet Michael Roaf and his wife Lee Ann at Archie’s. Michael and I have been FB friend for around 3 years and had never met up before that day. The pleasure was all mine guys. On the way home I made everyone stop so I could get a group picture on the bridge crossing the “Little Mud Creek”. Thanks to our friends for making this day a most enjoyable day for Kathy and I. We hope to get out on the road soon again. Cya down the road one day y’all. If anyone knows the meaning of friends it’s me. When times are tough the South Florida community comes together and supports each other like no place! From helping with fundraisers and donating their time and money to special causes, to just being there as a friend when someone needs a friend. The biker and music community here is like no other in the world when it comes to help and supporting a cause or when tragedy strikes! YOU ALL ROCK!!! I for one am very proud to have met and made so many friends in South Florida since I moved here 23 years ago. Sucker Punch band members include Trey Ward - Lead Guitar and Vocals, Bill Robinson Bass Guitar and Vocals, Xavier Vanegas - Drums. Sucker Punch is one of South Florida’s Hottest Country Rock Power Trio’s. Sucker Punch plays over one hundred times a year. Their strong, top quality vocals and harmonies set them apart from other country and southern rock bands. Don’t let their name fool you, this band plays a nice mix of music that everyone, young and old will enjoy, from soft heartfelt ballads to rockin’ modern country and everything in between including some timeless classic rock tunes! The band consists of veteran performers Trey Ward & Bill Robinson who have been on the music scene for over 30 years along with Xavier Vanegas, a fabulous young drummer, with several credits of his own. If your favorite artists include Toby Keith and Blake Shelton, then you will love the country cover band Sucker Punch. This band is based out of the South Florida area, and has gained a wonderful reputation. During their shows they play a variety of country songs that people can enjoy and dance to all night long. They will also play songs where people can square dance, if you know how! The band’s song list LUFQ includes top 40 country hits from the likes of Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton just to name a few along with crowd pleasing Country Classics and a bunch of great country and classic rock dance songs. They have played at many venues such as Cagney’s Saloon in Davie, Uncle Mick’s in Jupiter, Fire Dog Saloon in Fort Lauderdale, Joe’s Tiki Bar and Grill in Hollywood and many club events and clubhouses like the Der Krieger MC. Just to name a few. They have opened for national acts and have headlined at several large events, including city sponsored concerts, countless private functions and benefits. They have also performed at many motorcycle events. Just this past year the band played at the Toys in the Sun Run. Sucker Punch Country is considered to be one of the best country rock bands in the South Florida area. If you haven’t heard Sucker Punch, you are in for a treat! If you have you know you want to see them again whenever you can. Hey Peeps! Hope October was as good for you all as it was for me. Can you believe it’s November already? It seems like the year is just about shot in the ass. The puppies are going to be 6 months old and are really getting big. It’s been an amazing trip for Old Uncle Willie. It kind of makes you (me) realize what it would be like to be immortal. What I mean by that is that I was there when Koco was banging Precious harder and more times than a screen door in a hurricane. I was with her as she went through her pregnancy and was in the whelping box with her while she was having the pups. Hell, I was catching them as they popped out! I watched her take care of them, and she was a wonderful mother. Even though it was her first litter, she took care of them like she had done it twenty times before. It was absolutely amazing! They were little blind worms struggling to crawl around to get to her titties to nurse. Watching them grow as the weeks went by they became puppies! Their eyes were open, they were walking and playing with each other and then I was making them their gruel as she was weaning them. I was taking dry food and blending it into a powder and adding goat’s milk ($5.00 a quart), raw eggs and puppy vitamins. They grew so fast! Before I knew it they were seven weeks old and going on their way into the world! The wonderful thing was that all of them went to great homes where they will be loved and super well taken care of! Now they are all in the upper 50 to 70 pound weight range. Little Nappy (the runt of the litter, starting at 1 ½ lbs and is now in the upper 50 pound weight range. His brother Bongo who now lives with his master Alex Perez, is in the upper 70’s! All 5 of the brothers and sisters are in the upper 60’s! They are all beautiful. They are all brindle with tiger stripes. I also think they are the only pups in Florida with the cross breeding that they have (Argentine Dogo and Turkish Kangle). Precious won’t be having any more as she was spayed a couple of months after the pups were born. I was lucky with then in that they all have great homes. I really wouldn’t want to chance that with a second litter. There are enough unwanted dogs in the world without me adding to their misery! I kept two of the pups. I kept Nappy the runt and Tank who was the biggest at birth but was far outgrown by Bongo. Nappy is a happy go lucky little guy and his big brother Tank is going to be a super watch dog! He’s already aggressive as shit and has the bark of a 5 year old Rotty! LOL They (all 5) are going through a 44 pound bag of dry food a week. At $60.00 a bag, it get’s expensive in a hurry. The only bright side is that as much as they are costing me, they are still a hell of a lot cheaper than a wife would be!!! And for now, I am putting together a FAL rifle. It’s in the NATO round of 7.62x51 or .308, whatever you want to call it. It’s going to be both a tack driver and a thing of beauty. I didn’t spend all those years of painting and customizing bikes and cars for nothing. It takes the same attention to detail and artistic temperament to make a beautiful gun as it takes to make a beautiful motorcycle, it’s just that with the gun it’s a lot easier because there’s just so much less of it! The main thing is that it operates GREAT. If it doesn’t, it’s just a pretty club. The only problem I can see with it is like with sheath knives, you see some fuken’ morons with knives on their hips that are so big they make Roman broad swords look small. I guess they are overcompensating for having little peckers. If open carry goes through, I know there will be the same aholes walking around with Dirty Harry 44’s strapped to their hips. People, bigger IS NOT always better. As far as letting licensed concealed weapon holder’s go to collages, I’m all for it provided they get the proper training before going to school. I mean these sick bastards who shoot up schools only do so because they know they will be the only one there with a gun(s). When was the last time you heard of one of them going into a police station to shoot it up? By the way, you do know that the greatest majority of these shooters are/were disgruntled liberal demoncrats! I guess the best gun control would be NOT letting demoncrats have guns! If you listen to President Obama and most of the Democrats, we need to pass more gun-control legislation in an attempt to avoid another mass shooting at another college or on a soft, vulnerable target like an elementary school, a movie theater, or a shopping mall. In fact, many of these anti-gun, liberal “progressive” individuals would like to see all guns banned and confiscated, the sooner the better. President Obama, as usual, used the shooting at the Community College in Oregon to further his fanatical stance on national gun control. Here he was, piously proclaiming, that if we passed “meaningfull” gun control legislation that massacre wouldn’t have happened. He made that statement without knowing what all the facts were concerning that shooting. We all know, or should know, that repeal of the 2nd Amendment will not ever happen, even if the Messiah (our president) and the Democrats would like to see that happen. In his speech immediately following the Oregon college shooting, he mentioned that other countries have banned guns and, as a result, their crime rates fell. He mentioned Australia in particular. Well, let’s see what has happened in Australia since they banned all firearms in that country... It has been over 18 years since gun owners in Australia were forced (yes, forced) to surrender their firearms (640,381 to be exact) which cost Australian taxpayers over $500 million in reimbursement costs. Here are the results of that ban on firearms: Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2%; Australiawide, assaults are up 9.6%; Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44% (yes, that’s 44%). In the State of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are up 300% (remember, while law-abiding citizens turned in their guns, the criminals did not and they still possess their guns). There also has been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults on the elderly, even while the residents were at home. The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest, law abiding citizens save lives and property, and, yes, anti-gun-control laws affect only the law abiding citizen and not the criminal. Did you also notice that most all of these massacres have occurred in “Gun Free Zones” like church’s, movie theaters, public schools, restaurants, college campuses, and shopping malls? Since criminals now are guaranteed that their “prey” is unarmed, incidents in these vulnerable places are made to order for a deranged individual to do his dirty work. Mention should also be made that the cities and towns with the LUFQ toughest gun-control laws are more prone to have crimes committed with guns (ex: Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and New Orleans) - by the way, those cities and towns are all run by progressive liberal Democrats. I wonder why? So much for tougher gun-control laws. Mention could also be made that the country of Switzerland requires that all its citizens own a firearm, and Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world, and that includes deaths by firearms. How come antigun fanatics like President Obama and former N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, don’t mention that anomaly? Would it be because it doesn’t fit their anti-gun agenda? Of course! They also forget to mention that most all these gun incidents were not committed by the “evil” NRA members or honest, law abiding, legal gun owning citizens. So, to the question, “Should the U.S. Ban All Firearms”, the answer is a resounding NO! As the old saying goes, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people”, just like SUV’s don’t kill people, people driving SUV’s kill people. In loving memory of Bernie, Chrissy, Clay, Big Ed, Bob Amchir, Animal, Ricky, Pervert, Roger-Kenny & Pauly 1%’ers, Mojo, Vinny Margotta, Poppy, Gunslinger, “Louie”, Davida, Daldone, Irene Powell, Dave Carter & Phil Peterson Page 39 Trackside with Chuck KillerInstinctPhotos@gmail.com I would like to start off by sending my condolences to the entire Peterson family with the passing of Mr. P. It’s a shame to loose such a great man who helped out the community every chance he got and was always willing to go the extra mile to lend a helping hand. He will surely be missed by many. I’m sure the Peterson family will carry on his legacy. The first stop of the month for me was Pompano Beach Amphitheater where I was able to attend a concert which included Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad, Chuck Negron formally of Three Dog Night and Blood, Sweat and Tears with new frontman, Bo Bice. Bo was the 2005 American Idol finalist and he performed every song phenomenally. In fact, all the bands sounded great and it brought back a lot of memories. The next stop of the month was No Mercy VI at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia. First I would like to ask for prayers for Lyle Barnett who was involved a horrific fire and received third degree burns to his hands, face and feet. He was able to make it out the fire alive but is still recovering. He was flown to Atlanta’s Burn Unit from South Georgia where he is currently undergoing multiple skin grafts. We wish him a full and speedy recovery. Besides Lyle’s accident the weekend was a huge success. With over 500 cars, there was something out there for everyone. This is one of the largest races of its kind which hosts radial tire cars only. People from all over the country and North America showed up for a shot at taking home prize money and bragging rights. Unfortunately Mother Nature didn’t cooperate and the race had to be called with the finalists splitting the purse. But come February 18-21, 2016, there will be $50,100 cash going to the winner of the Radial Vs. The World class. This is drawing participants from all over the world. This is the largest purse a single winner can take home in this races history. It will sure be a spectacular event with thousands upon thousands of spectators and racers. Duck X Promotions is the company behind these races. Donald is the brainchild behind everything and he never fails when it comes to putting on a show for everyone. He has been building these races form the ground up and is continuing to amaze everyone at each event. The cash will be handed out not matter what; there will no postponing of this race no matter what the circumstances are. If they have to wait a week for Mother Nature to cooperate, that’s what they will do. The next stop was Palm Beach International Raceway for a grudge event that was promoted and put together by Big Lo. Big LUFQ Lo is a much respected, local grudge racer who knows what he is doing when it comes to grudge racing. He beat the pavement with advertising of this race and it paid off. The stands were packed full, the fence was packed full and there was no shortage of cars throughout the track. In fact, there were so many people that around 8 o’clock, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office had to shut the gates down to anyone trying to get in and turn them away. There hasn’t been a turnout at that track like that in well over 10 years. Unfortunately the night came to an early end when a racer lost his brakes on the top end and ended up going into the sand traps, then into the catch net. They were not able to fix the catch net and had to call the race because of safety reasons. With people from Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama it was a tough pill to swallow for most when the track was shut down. Hopefully Big Lo will bring this event back to Palm Beach and they will get the same turnout they had the first time. Next up was a stop at Flossies for Lee Jordan’s 40th something birthday and the joint was jamming with Bomb Shell rocking the place, what a great band (my first time seeing them). If you get a chance check them out. Melissa Melissa is kick ass on the vocals along with all the other members of the band!!! Well that’s all for now but, some upcoming races that you may want to attend areSanta World Street Nationals XXII Ed November 13-15 at Orlando Speed World and the 34th Bennet Auto Supply Citrus Nationals November 27-29 at Palm Beach International. Until next time you all be safe and for all of our Veterans I thank you for all you have done for our once great country but soon well get her back on track, enjoy your day November 11th and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! V-Twin City does a knock out party every month so check the centerfold ad and ride over. The last party we attended was the Wheels of Man MC Halloween Party. They held it on the 24th so I had time to run some photos this issue. Not a huge crowd but that meant more chicken wings and Ann’s cookies and candies for everyone. Great costumes that should have won cash prizes - but the Jaron, Freddy & Wolfdog engraved winners bottle was really unique. $1 speciality beers were a big hit. And the weather was perfect - not a drop of rain and slightly on the cooler side. Good job WOM - next year I expect to see those delicious little meatballs you usually put out... and where is that hot dog machine when you want a good Hebrew National? Coming up in December’s issue... the Palm proceeds going to Joe Dimaggio Children’s hospital, get your VIP pass right away. Go to: toysinthesunrun. com and give yourself a nice Christmas or Chanukah present... many deathly ill kids will benefit from your donation. Until next month, keep your Wheels on the Road. Beach Harley party and other Halloween writeups... and as for events, see page 33 for that list. And if you have not gotten your VIP ride tickets for the Toy Run, and want to have a really good time with up front riding, lots of good holiday food and unlimited beer and soft drinks and other goodies with all LUFQ “The South Florida Biker’s Bible Since” I will drink your blood...
