Anointing of the Sick
Today, and the First Sunday of each
month after the 12:45pm Mass, one of
our priests will celebrate the Sacrament of
the anointing of the sick. If you or someone you know
is expecting to have surgery, has been ill or is elderly,
please take advantage of this opportunity.
We have Adoration in the Chapel
every Friday from 9:30am to 7:15pm.
On First Friday Adoration lasts
throughout the night. Our lives are so
busy, we could all use a little quiet
time with our Lord. Don’t just
squeeze Him in, make your time with
Him a priority.
Next weekend, the Knights of Columbus will
be sponsoring a food drive June
8th & June 9th to replenish the
shelves of the Santa Clarita
Valley Food Pantry. Please
remember them while doing your
shopping.

Thank You
May 18th & 19th we celebrated all that is good
about St. Clare’s at our Parish BBQ and Faire.
The weather was great and the volunteers were,
as always, spectacular. Our community came
together to eat, drink, listen to music and play
games. I think it is clear that a good time was had
by all. Thank you to everyone who worked booth
shifts, baked cakes, cooked food and to those of
you who came to enjoy the food and the fun!
There were many who donated items to our raffle,
purchased food and other items for their booths
that allowed us to realize a larger profit.
A special thanks to Fabienne McGeever, Shelly
Smith, Ana Porcellino, Janis Titiriga and Diane
Curry.
Looking forward to next year!

RCIA GRAD Class!
If you, or someone you know has been through the
RCIA process in the past 5 years or so, either here or in
any other parish, we would like to invite you to join us
every Tuesday (except Christmas and New Years) at
7pm in Room 6 for the RCIA Grads!. We pick up right
where the RCIA class leaves off, so this is a perfect
opportunity for new adult Catholics to continue to grow
in our faith. We will look at ways to get more out of
Mass, answer common Catholic questions, and enrich
our understanding and practice of the faith.
As you might know, Pope Benedict declared a Year of
Faith, from this October till November 28, 2013. In
response to this declaration, we will undertake a
journey of faith based on the writings of St. Teresa of
Avila, St. John of the Cross, and Pope Benedict.
Their teachings are all about making progress in our
spiritual lives.
So if you've been through RCIA in the past several
years and are interested in growing in your faith, please
join us Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm in room 6 here
at St. Clare.

From the Prayer of the Archdiocese for Military Services
Almighty God and Father, look with love upon our men and women in uniform and
protect them in their time of need. Give them health and stability and allow them
to return to their loved ones whole and unshaken. Be with their families and
sustain them in these uncertain times. Hear us as we present our prayers to
You through Christ our Lord. Amen
Prayers Help - Thank You!
To The Parish Family of St. Clare’s,
We received a thank you note from one of our young men who has been on
St. Clare’s Armed Forces Prayer Ministry list.
Michael Landis has completed his military service but wants you to know
that your prayers offered much comfort to him and others during their deployment.
He thanks you for your prayers and asks that you continue to pray for his
fellow soldiers who will be returning to Afghanistan.
Dear Michael,
Thank you for your service. We are very happy that you have returned home safely and will
indeed continue to keep all of those still serving, especially those who are deployed, in our
prayers.

your children with you when evacuated; Give children identification information to carry with them, including the child’s
name, date of birth, address, phone numbers, etc.; E-mail digital photos of all family members to extended relatives and/or
