NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
Box Elder Mosquito
Abatement District
The Box Elder Mosquito Abatement District is
proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
- The Box Elder Mosquito Abatement District tax on
a $162,500 residence would increase from $18.05 to
$25.78, which is $7.73 per year.
- The Box Elder Mosquito Abatement District tax
on a $162,500 business would increase from $32.83
to $46.89, which is $14.06 per year.
- If the proposed budget is approved, Box Elder
Mosquito Abatement District would increase its
property tax budgeted revenue by 42.83% above
last year’s property tax budgeted revenue excluding
new growth.
All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.

PETITION
Brigham City hereby gives notice
that an annexation petition has been filed
with the City requesting the annexa-
tion of 9.48 acres of properties located
at 2340 West Hwy 13, which is located
west of I-15 on the north side of Hwy
13. The property is located contiguous
to the present northwestern boundary
of Brigham City’s corporate limits. The
Brigham City Council received the notice of certification of the annexation petition on October 15, 2015.
The complete annexation petition is
available for inspection and copying at
the office of the Brigham City Recorder,
20 North Main, during normal business
hours.
Brigham City may grant the petition
and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation, in accordance with Utah Code
§10-2-407(2), is filed with the Box Elder
County Clerk at 1 South Main, Brigham
City, Utah, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Brigham City Recorder at
20 North Main on or before November
18, 2015.
If no timely protest is received by
the County Clerk and the Brigham City
Recorder, the City Council will hold a
public hearing for the purpose of considering public comment on the proposed
annexation petition. Following the public
hearing, the Council may adopt an ordinance for the annexation of the abovedescribed property.
