ALBERT First of all I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. I hope you enjoyed the Christmas season and had a chance to meet with families and friends. Now that a new semester begins, let us work together to build God's Kingdom here at U of A. I suggest you might want to get acquainted with Pope Francis' letter as he proclaimed this year - The Year of Mercy. Soon we will announce the beginning of the Annual Catholic Appeal. I hope and pray that you will support the work of the Diocese. We also benefit from the Appeal. We received $10,000 to redo the student housing and have requested monies for Phase II of that project. I am happy to announce that I have appointed Chris Woolf as the Music Coordinator for the Newman Center. Chris worked with me in the same position for about 8 years during my 10 years as Pastor. As I mentioned in my first sermon in November, that I am counting on your help, your financial support, and your involvement in the life of the Newman community. I praise God every day for your generosity and your love for this community. Blessings. Also - Super Bowl Sunday is coming soon. We will have Super Soup Sunday - we ask all the parishioners to bring a can of soup. Your donation will help the AZ Food Bank.
