MEMBERSHIP
MEMO
By Barb Marshall
Vice President of Member Services
Remember when you were new to the chamber? Some of us who have
been with the chamber for a while may find it difficult to recall the first
chamber networking event we attended. Few however, will forget their first
membership luncheon. Do you recall being introduced to the membership
and trying to tell who you are, where you work, what you do for the
company and how your company is different from the competition ...in only
one minute?
I recently had the honor of speaking to the student body of my old high
school in Pennsylvania. I can assure you, it doesn't matter whether you are
giving a 12 minute speech, as I did, or giving your elevator speech at a
luncheon; you are just as nervous and will find it hard to tell your story in
such a brief time.
When attending chamber meetings, in addition to catching up with old
friends, why not seek out the newest members? It is always interesting to
hear the stories new members share about themselves and their
companies.
Our new members will get another opportunity to speak at the
microphone at the New Member Breakfast on April 10th. Did you realize
that all members are invited to attend this breakfast? Parc Provence is
generously hosting this chamber meeting. Won't you join us on April
10th to welcome our newest members to the chamber and give them a
chance to tell their stories?

FASTSIGNS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE TOP
CENTERS IN THE WORLD
Two FASTSIGNS providers in St. Louis (Creve Coeur and
Brentwood) were both named top centers out of more than 570
locations worldwide at the 2015 FASTSIGNS International
Convention, which was recently held in Dallas, Texas. The locally
owned and operated centers each received the Pinnacle Club
Award, which recognizes the centers ranked 26 to 125 in the
U.S. and Canada for sales volume from the previous year.
“With the evolution of technology and my team’s knowledge
and experience, we offer creative solutions for any industry or
business challenge,” said Pam Collier, who owns FASTSIGNS of
St. Louis – Creve Coeur and FASTSIGNS of St. Louis –
Brentwood.”
FASTSIGNS provides comprehensive visual communications
solutions, including wall, window and floor graphics, architectural
signs, trade show displays, wayfinding solutions, vehicle wraps,
digital signage and more.
The annual Creve Coeur Days Festival will be held June 25-28 on the De Smet
Jesuit High School campus. Details of the event may be found on
www.crevecoeurdays.com or by calling Jill Philipp at 314-569-4799.
Two factors make Creve Coeur Days unique. Itis not a function of the City of
Creve Coeur but instead is run by a group of volunteers, and it is a fund-raising
event with proceeds distributed annually to area charitable and philanthropic
organizations. "More than $180,000 has been donated through the years," said the
chairperson of the distribution committee.
The organizers hope your company will consider becoming a vendor or sponsor
of the event. Your sponsorship will be a charitable donation and will help to sustain
this great event.
In addition to the carnival rides, midway and entertainment, a parade is being
planned for Sunday, June 28th. You, your business or other organization are
invited to be a part of the parade. The parade application may also be found on
the Creve Coeur Days’ website.
If you are not able to participate in the parade but want to watch, the parade
route is shown below. The parade begins at 1:00 p.m. from Centerco Office Suites
and moves south along North New Ballas to Shaare Emeth on Ladue Road.
CHAMBER
BUCKS
PROGRAM
For each member you refer, we will give you either $25 off your
membership or a free luncheon. (The option of $25 off the membership
dues is capped to the amount of the referrer’s membership dues.)
This program helps both the member making the referral and the
chamber. The person making the referral doesn’t need to bring in a
membership application – just the name of a person that might benefit
from a chamber membership. We will take care of explaining the
benefits of being a member and signing them up.
Membership meeting packets
Looking for a low-cost method to reach our members? The
answer is to include your marketing flyer in our membership
luncheon packets. It’s easy to do and it only costs $10.
Bring your 8 ½” X 11”marketing flyer to the chamber office
on the Monday before the membership meeting and it will be
collated for distribution at the membership luncheon. It is
advisable to call ahead and find out how many pieces to
bring to the office.
Join us as we welcome newcomers to our chamber!
It’s our bi-annual

McKelvey Homes and Simon Homes. City of Creve Coeur staff and
employees of each of the homebuilders were on hand. New displays
are now open at this prestigious community.
One of the chamber’s new members, Bellerive Partners, LLC,

MENCHIE’S FROZEN YOGURT RIBBON CUTTING
Menchie’s, the friendliest place on earth with a mission to make every guest
smile, celebrated the opening of its Heritage Place location at 12587 Olive
Boulevard in Creve Coeur with week-long festivities starting March 7th. The
seven-day grand opening celebration spread smiles from free giveaways
including t-shirts and Menchie’s merchandise, family-friendly activities and
free servings of its best-in-class frozen yogurt.
St. Louis area residents Galen and Monique Bingham say they wanted to
bring Menchie’s to their community because they found it appealing in so
many ways. “Not only is it fantastic frozen yogurt, the fun atmosphere makes
people walk in the door happy and leave smiling,” said Monique. “I really
appreciate Menchie’s commitment to community leadership,” said Galen.
The new self-serve store offers an unparalleled experience that is
welcoming, fun and interactive with arts and crafts for kids, enjoyable music
and indoor/outdoor seating areas where friends and family gather. Guests
can choose from premium frozen yogurt flavors and a variety of over 70
delicious toppings for unlimited combinations, ensuring happiness in every
cup.
Menchie's is also committed to giving back to each community it
serves. Stores partner with local schools in fundraising activities and
education incentive programs. Each Menchie's store donates thousands
of dollars in cash and products annually to local schools to support
student programs.
The company is a world leader in ensuring best-in-class products,
and considers itself the ambassador of frozen yogurt quality worldwide.
Menchie’s ensures that only the highest quality milk and flavors are used
to make its frozen yogurt. The proprietary collection is made from the
milk of “smiley” California cows, which have not been treated with
artificial growth hormones (rBST). Menchie’s frozen yogurt contains live
and active cultures and has received the Live and Active Culture (LAC)
seal indicating its endorsement by the National Yogurt Association.
