Farewell to Director Donna Emmert
At the end of January, we bid a very
fond farewell to longtime Library
Director Donna Emmert. After 31 years at the
Perry Library, Donna is retiring effective January
31. The new director is Emily Weaver, who comes
to us from Denison Public Library. We welcome
her to Perry on February 4.
December Book Discussion Group
The book selection for this December is
Aunt Dimity’s Death by Nancy Atherton.
An “English Cozy” in genre, this is the first
in a series of books about the ghostly Aunt Dimity.
The discussion group will meet in the library
Community Room from 7:00-8:30, Tuesday,
December 18. Books are available for purchase at
the Circulation Desk for $7. Everyone is welcome.
2008 Book Discussions
The 2008 book selections have been made and the
list is now available at the library. If you would like
to join our group, you may come to a single
discussion or as many as you choose – there is no
yearlong commitment! For more information,
contact the library. Discussion leaders are Dreama
Deskins and Ginnie Peters.
The January discussion group selection is
fiction book Home to Harmony by Philip
Gulley. This is the first book in a series
about Minister Sam Gardner, who returns
to live and preach in his small hometown of
Harmony, Indiana. The discussion is scheduled for
7:00-8:30 p.m. in the library Community Room,
Tuesday, January 15. Please join us as we begin a
new year of interesting book discussions.
