Please join us on Thursday, July 14th at 12 p.m. at the Holmen American Legion
for the monthly HBA meeting. Our guest speakers will be Len Beranek, who will
update us on the Holmen Area Community Center. He will also be seeking
feedback from the business community.
Remember, bring a guest for a chance to win a prize!
Our Thursday, August 11th at 12 p.m. will be at the YMCA- Onalaska. (Note
Change of Location) The Y will be giving tours of its new addition. Lunch will be
“build your own sandwich bar” catered by Festival. Cost is $10. Please bring
cash or a check written out to “HBA”
Our Thursday, September 8th at 12 p.m. will be back at the Holmen American
Legion. The speaker will be Investigator Sedevie from the Holmen Police
Department. She will be talking about the Children’s Internet Protection Task
Force which was started 10 years ago and its accomplishments. HBA was a
sponsor of this program when it first started.
Congratulations to
William Stetter , senior at Holmen High School for being awarded the HBA $1,000
scholarship! William will be starting at Winona State in the fall.
Holmen After 5
Thank you to Champions Resort in Galesville for hosting our Business After 5 on
June 27th. We got to tour the campground and enjoyed meeting new friends.

HBA at Kornfest
Saturday August 20th from 4-8 pm, HBA once again will be bartending at
Kornfest. This is a great opportunity to get involved and lots of fun. We need
volunteers to help. We are able to earn $500 for participating in this event! If

2015-2016 Holmen Area Historical Society Program
HAHS invites you to attend their monthly meetings which are held
the first Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the
Holmen Village Hall, unless otherwise noted.
July 6: “Hunting and Gathering.” Please join our popular story
circle with your stories about hunting, fishing, and foraging. Root
beer floats included!
August 3 (6:00 – 9:00) at Holmen High School’s Trygve
Mathison Fine Arts Center: “Vintage Style Show.” Holmen High
School’s FFA is collaborating with us to bring the community this look
at the history of our area’s agricultural community through the
vintage clothing collection of Barb Anderson as well as connected
music. Holmen students will be the models. “Historic” refreshments
will be served following the show.
September 7: “The History of Drugan’s.” Drugan’s Castle Mound
Supper Club and Golf Course are area institutions. Mike and Mary
Drugan, the current owners, will share the history of this local
business that has been in the family for over four decades.

Movie Night Under the Stars
Halfway Creek Band Shell, 208 Pool St., Holmen, WI
Join your neighbors at the Band Shell at Halfway Creek Park for a magical night of family friendly
fun. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, pack your favorite refreshments, and settle in to watch
our feature film. Popcorn and soda will be sold on site.
There is no fee to attend the movies, but canned food items will be collected for donation to a
local food pantry.
