THE SOLSTICE STORY Aaron and I fired up our Mugnaini wood fire oven at our first location in Bingen, Wash in February of 2007. Our son Jenner was one. The Community embraced our desire to create great food and a truly welcoming spot for EVERYONE who enters: children, windsurfers, fruit packers, farmers, tourists, wine maniacs, bikers, boaters, foodies, movers & shakers — you name it. We strive every day to create a place where our food passions can sit under one roof: locally sourced, inventive, seasonal, organic and purchased from people we know and respect. These connections are what fire us up every day! Our son Rune joined our family in August of 2008. In 2011, we designed and built our first mobile wood fire pizza oven for catering, events & fundraisers. We added a second mobile in 2012 and in December 2013, with huge support from our beloved community through Kickstarter, we built this new restaurant and moved to Hood River. We said goodbye & thank you to our Washington location. We are very grateful. We care about doing our best for our customers, family, staff and community.
