June 7, 2015 - North Street Christian Church
We are a Bible church dedicated to the promotion of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We strive to faithfully deliver the life changing message of the Scriptures and we work to be a Godly influence in our community. The great confession that Jesus is the Christ, the great commission to go and make disciples, the great commandment to love God and love people and the great promise of Christ’s second coming all work together to keep us vertically and horizontally focused. Thanks for joining us today. MOVE is a 5 day High School event designed to amplify Christ’s call on student’s lives to become kingdom workers. This year’s theme is YOU ARE HERE and is taken from the Book of Daniel. MOVE says, “The book of Daniel is an ancient story with modern implications. A group of teenagers were exiled to a foreign land, left to deal with the reality of life in a diverse world. In the shadow of Babylon, they learned it is possible to speak the language of a culture yet still worship God. It's possible to long for home but still speak truth with love and grace. The Kingdom needs you to bless the country – not the other way around. This was Daniel's story. And it's your story too.” Daily themes are God is Here, God is King, God is Near, God is God and God is There. The Aaron Pelsue Band will lead worship. On stage are Jim Johnson, Lydia Proctor and Eric Epperson. Keep these folks in your prayers as they attend MOVE – Nick Bartley, Kaitlyn Bell, Emily Bilowich, Julia Pemrich, Travis Reed, Niki Simpson and Pastor Jake. NSCC to Build A House In Acuna Mexico Casas Por Cristo/June 21 – 27 On Sunday morning June 21, a group of nine NSCCers led by Pastor Jake will fly from Pittsburgh, PA to San Antonio, TX. Those travelling with Pastor Jake are Emily Bilowich, Tyler Bell, Alishia Cousins, Lyeric Cousins, Michelle Cousins, Zach Ferguson, Alex Herrin and Bridget Pierce. They will then drive to Del Rio, TX to meet Jon and Bonna Ray, Daryl and Sam Tait and Scott and Jonna DeWitt. The group will then cross the border to Acuna, Mexico where they will build a house for a needy family. Please keep this group on your prayer list as they step out in faith to build a house in the name of Jesus and for the glory of His Kingdom. Wed 10th 11-2 LOLCO Thu 11-2 LOLCO Fri 12th 11-2 LOLCO Sat 13th 5:00 Community Meal A Word From Pastor Bob D.L. Moody said, “A man can no more take in a supply of grace for the future than he can eat enough for the next six months, or take sufficient air into his lungs at one time to sustain life for a week. We must draw upon God's boundless store of grace from day to day, as we need it.” Without God’s amazing grace, not only would salvation be impossible, living out the Christian life would be impossible. God’s grace provides pardon, favor and kindness toward not only the repentant one who comes for salvation but also provides daily pardon, favor and kindness toward His “being made holy” children. The reality of His steadfast love and of His mercies being made new every morning surely give us confidence and joy that allows us not only live in His grace but to live by His grace; not only to receive His grace but to extend His grace. Concerning His grace – breathe it in and breathe it out – His grace is the air we breathe, so to speak! I need God’s grace everyday – how about you?
