T. informing them that their son John and his wife Virginia, had been released by the U.S. Forces from the Japanese internment camp at Santo Tomas, Luzon Island in the Philipines. Mr. and Mrs. John McCuish were on Mindanao Island when the Japanese captured the Philipines and managed to evade capture for about two years by hiding in the hills before they were forced to surrender.
