(Members will receive an email regarding sides/desserts/etc.)
1:30-3:30 P.M.: Let the Westie Races begin!

If your Westie is racing, I need name/sex/age with your RSVP to set up heats.
Volunteers needed: To help with setup/cleanup, grilling, races
CHAIRS/TABLES: Please bring a chair. Tables are available.
Guests & Their Westies are always welcome! Westies must be under control
(on a leash/ in a crate or x-pen). Please bring newspaper, tarp, etc. to put
under pens. There is a designated “potty” area out-side, complete with a
pooper scooper. Please come and bring your appetite and your Westies. Meet
our Society members (we want to meet you, too) and have some great casual
fun. If possible, please RSVP!
Westie Owners' Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of each owner not to
place other members or guests, or other Westies, in harm’s way. A Westie that
has a tendency to be overly excitable to a point where it has the potential to
fight SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RACE. This rule will be enforced.

GREAT NEWS! The Cherry Blossom Cluster is just around the corner and will
include supported entries and Sweepstakes. Here’s what you need to know.
The venue is the spacious State Fairgrounds at Timonium, Maryland. The
dates are April 18th through the 21st, 2014. MB-F is the superintendent for all
shows.
Rally and Obedience Trials will be held from Friday through Sunday and an
additional Obedience Trial happens alone on Monday.

WILLIAM PENN WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER CLUB
The William Penn WHWT Club invites you to join us on Saturday, May 3, 2014
for the 27th Annual William Penn Regional Specialty (held in conjunction with
The Bucks County Kennel Club Show).
This year’s WP Specialty Show Chairperson is Donna Popow, Show Secretary is
Cathy Eten and Show Trophy Chair is Cindy Ladutko. It will be held at Tinicum
Park, Route 32 Erwinna, PA 18920, Superintendent: MB-F, closing date: Wed.
April 16, 2014.
The William Penn Specialty judges will be Mary Bradley (Sweepstakes) and
Robert Shreve (Regular Classes).
Lunch will be available to exhibitors. We hope to see many of you there!
The West Highland White Terrier Club of Southeastern Michigan
The West Highland White Terrier Club of Southeastern Michigan is diligently
working on preparing for its 29th Annual Specialty Show. This year's Show will
take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Ann Arbor Dog Training Center in
Whitmore Lake, Michigan. The theme for the show is “Westie Side
Story.” Admission is free and the general public is welcomed to
attend. Sweepstakes Class Judging will begin at 10:00 am and Regular Class
Judging begins at 1 pm.
This year’s Sweepstakes Judge is Marcella Lee and Regular Class Judge is
Susan Napady. A complimentary continental breakfast will be available at 7:30
a.m. A buffet lunch will be served immediately after the Rescue Parade, which
takes place around 11 a.m. The Club will sponsor a silent auction with a variety
of baskets to bid upon. Westie Rescue Michigan, Inc. will sponsor a Chinese
Auction. A beautiful handmade quilt donated to Westie Rescue Michigan, Inc.,
by Dee Rakic, in honor of her Westie, Winnie, will be raffled off. A flyer with
raffle ticket information and picture of the quilt is available further on in this

Holiday Hummel Figurine with Westie
The Hummel Holiday Treats Collector's Set was a new 2007 Hummel figurine
featuring a playful West Highland Terrier waiting for a holiday treat and
includes the Sweet Shop Hummelscape. The Hummel figurine "Christmas
Treat" stands 4.25 inches tall and is HUM 2264. The Hummelscape winds up
and plays "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" while the baked goodies in the
shop window rotate. It also lights up. Over-all dimensions of the base are 8” x
7.5”.

Stunning Queen sized Westie-Yellow Brick Road Themed Quilt
Theresa Stewart from Oklahoma is a quilter and also a Westie and Scottie
owner. She's worked with Oklahoma Westie rescue and has shown Scotties.
The quilt will be queen sized with Westies on a green background around the
edges similar to these below The center will be on a yellow brick background
with a larger Westie with a red slipper in mouth and/ or beside the dog. The
reverse side is red slippers on a yellow brick pattern.
"Friends & Family" CPR Presentation
Trinity Lutheran Church at 235 Summit Ave. in Fort Washington
Monday evening, April 14th, 2014, at 7.p.m.
Club member, Margot Walters RN, will lead our group and help prepare us
for a medical emergency if one should arise.
Canine CPR Presentation will be offered in the Fall
