2010/2011 SHOW DATES
A Club’s show date is not listed until a licence has been granted by the New Zealand Kennel Club. If a show date for a Club does not appear or is incorrect the Secretary of the Club should contact the New Zealand Kennel Club urgently. Associated Show Clubs must make specific application for a
licence for every Championship show date on the form available from New Zealand Kennel Club offices or website. These can be applied for up to two
years in advance. Try www.nzkc.org.nz/calendar.html for your personal online show calendar.

‘Jade’
18/2/96 - 1/8/10
It is with much sadness that we say
farewell to Jade who passed away
suddenly in her sleep where she was
happiest in her Dads’ bed. You were not
alway an easy girl to live with Jade but
you were devoted to Errol and followed
him everywhere and he loved you very
much in return.
We used to think that you would live
forever but no. We will always remember
you and never forget.
Farewell Jade join Roy, Gemma, Midge &
Jessie at Rainbows Bridge. Wendy Errol
and the Chihuahuas at Tarere kennels.

Has had dogs her entire life, beginning with a Great Dane when she was a baby. She began Showing Great Danes in 1980 and has
been very active in primarily conformation dog clubs, both all-breed and specialty . She is especially interested in breed education,
has given seminars on Great Danes, and in the past coordinated multi-breed seminars. She is the past Division Chair for the Great
Dane Club of America and former AKC delegate for ten years for Manatee Kennel Club
Jan Brooker (UK)
I bought my first Great Dane and have had them ever since. My first appt came via Bill Siggers in 1979. I have bred 19 litters over the
years. I initially showed under the name of Robinson, then for a short time Fox, coming to my senses I then decided to return to my
maiden name of Brooker.....I served on the committee of the Great Dane Club for 26 years. I have awarded CC’s four times. have shared
my life with some of the most beautiful danes and am often overwhelmed by their huge capacity for love and loyalty.....

Late Schedules
The deadline for schedules is the 1st of the
month preceding publication (except Dec/
Jan and Feb issues where it is 1 Nov and 1 Dec
respectively).
If for any reason you are unable to get your schedule in on time,
please contact the NZKC so that we are aware of the delay.
Late schedules hold up the production of the NZ Dog World.
The schedules cannot be completed until all schedules are in.
If your show is late in the month and you wish to publish the
schedule in a later magazine, please notify us, so we are not
waiting for a schedule that will not be coming.
Please try to get your schedules in on time. If you are having
problems with judges, venues etc., just give the NZKC a ring so
we are aware of what is happening.
Schedules should be submitted online with your club’s log-in
details. If you don’t know these contact the NZKC. Schedules can
also be sent as a complete image (such as a.jpg, .tif or pagemaker).
Either of these formats will secure a cheaper rate. Alternatively schedules can be sent in typed.
If you are unsure about schedule formatting please give us a
ring.
