merchandising the entire property with
distinctive local and national merchants, premier
restaurants, and a world class Food Hall featuring
chef-driven fast-casual eating options.
HISTORY AND VIBE OF THE AREA
With its sweeping views of San Francisco Bay,
Emeryville has a storied, industrial past. In the
19th and early 20th centuries, Emeryville was
home to a wide variety of entertainment and
amusement parks and was a significant hub
for transportation.
Beginning in the 1990s, Emeryville
transformed from an old industrial town to a
modern mixed use urban environment. Many
of the country’s most innovative companies
including Pixar Animation Studios, Clif Bar,
Novartis, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and Leapfrog
Enterprises: are located within one mile of the
project.
Public Market continues that transformation.
