After 10 years of dedicated service to the Children and Teens of Lakeville, Ms. Teresa was unanimously voted by The Standard Times scouts as the Town of Lakeville’s 2015 Woman of the Year, and we could not be more proud. The Grimke’s daughter, Sarah, has known from an early age she is meant to do something large in the world, but she is hemmed in by the limits on women. On Sarah’s eleventh birthday, she is given ownership of ten year old Handful. We follow their journeys over the next thirty five years, as both strive for a life of their own, shaping their destinies and forming a complex relationship. The Library will be closed: Coming Up in February: New Year’s Eve Thursday, December 31st (closing early at 3) The Borrower by Rebecca Makkai Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, January 18th In the Great Ponds Gallery January / February “Reflections” During the months of January and February, the Great Ponds Gallery will feature the exhibit of oil paintings titled Reflections by Natick resident Rob Franco, who discovered his passion for art at an early age. Franco trained as an illustrator in the U.S. Air Force and continued as a graphic artist in the Boston area. Mr. Franco’s fascination with the ocean continues to inspire his work today. Friends of the Library News!
