Lighthouse Landing (Kentucky Lake Sails, Inc.) has been retailing and servicing sailboats since 1977. The sales office and convenient pier display, with 220 feet of elevated walkway, provide easy access to our pre-owned sailboats. The LBL is located one mile south of Lighthouse Landing and offers limitless outdoor recreation with some unique opportunities for environmental education and historic interpretation. Enjoy the many attractions of the LBL including the 700-acre Elk & Bison Prairie, Golden Pond Planetarium, Woodlands Nature Station, The Homeplace, civil war sites, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, camping, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting and Turkey Bay OHV Area. To see more photos visit www.martycolburn.com Located in the “Village Between the Lakes” at Grand Rivers in Western Kentucky, just 3 miles off I-24 (exit 31) on Hwy. 453, 1 mile north of the Land Between the Lakes northern entrance. We are open everyday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., (closed Sundays November - March). Lighthouse Landing Lighthouse was built to celebrate our 25th year in business and was completed in the spring of 2003. The 186 foot lighted boardwalk leads you along the top of the break wall to the Lighthouse that stands 40 feet above the water at winter pool. The view from the Lighthouse is beautiful, so when you take the stroll on the boardwalk, don’t forget your camera. Below the Lighthouse is a private lakeside area for our guests with a fire pit, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. Our RV park is nestled in a wooded area with plenty of shade and elbow room. Each of the 57 seasonal sites is complete with water and electric hookups (most have sewer). Laundry facilities and two bathhouses are conveniently located. Dump station is available. All 1, 2, or 3 bedroom cottages have exceptional views of Kentucky Lake and are equipped with kitchen, deck, barbeque grill, ceiling fan, air conditioning, cable TV, DVD and most have a gas log stove and dishwasher. Our 1-bedroom units (on the south side of the harbor) have whirlpool tubs. Our guest rooms are located over our activity room/north bathhouse and offer a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, full bath, cable TV, DVD, ceiling fan, ceramic tile and queen bed. A public beach (no lifeguards) and boat ramp are convenient. Wi-fi available. Everything from location, facilities, personnel and training boats combine to make Lighthouse Landing Sailing School an outstanding award winning American Sailing Association Certification Facility. We are bound by a national standard of sailing instruction delivered by professional sailing trainers. Our proven courses prepare you for ASA certification in Basic Keelboat through Basic Coastal Cruising. You can depend on an enriching learning experience while you are with us. The 11'6" cockpit offers plenty of comfortable space for 6 friends or family members. The Colgate 26 combines excellent performance with safety and durability in a boat that is ideal for sailing and exploring Kentucky Lake. Each boat is equipped with a Honda 4-cycle, 8 hp electric start engine, VHF radio, depth/knot meter, porta potti and safety gear. They are safe, self-righting and easy to sail. Our Activity Room and deck combined with Kentucky Lake as a background, make for a perfect location for small corporate or club meetings, family reunions, small weddings, or just as a “meeting place” for multiple cottage guests. Our Activity / Meeting Room has seating for 25 including seating for 16 at two conference tables. Additional features include a full kitchen, TV, DVD and barbeque grill. Three patio doors open to the deck, which has seating for 40 around octagon tables. All slip patrons have access to city water, 20 or 30 amp electricity, wi-fi, 2 complete bathhouses with showers, laundry and a selfservice waste pump-out and porta potti dump station. Gas and diesel are available nearby. Power and sail welcome. Lighthouse Landing has been certified as a “Tennessee Valley Clean Marina” since 2003.
