What year was your business established? Our business was established in December of 1994 as Mail Box Etc. and renamed The UPS Store in 2005. We purchased the store in 2006. 3. What organizations are you most passionate about and involved in within our community? I’ve been involved with Ponca City Main Street since 2008 serving as a Board member as well as on the promotions committee and as Chairman from 2012 to present. I’m an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, First Baptist Church, the Parent Coalition at Po-Hi and very passionate about the history of this town, it’s people, local businesses and charities. What services do you provide? We offer UPS, USPS domestic and international shipping, DHL international shipping and no limit freight services. We offer mailbox services, black/white and a new production level color copies as well as digital printing and a newly acquired wide format printer for banners and photos. In addition, we offer faxing services, Western Union money orders, notary service, lamination, binding, computer rental service and packing services. We sell 200 lb. crush tested shipping boxes, packing materials, office supplies, greeting cards and Animails. With a full time graphic artist on staff, we design business cards, flyers, invitations, banners and much more. For large jobs, we are a one stop shop for printing, folding, labeling and mailing at a low bulk mail rate. 4. 5. What do you think is your business’s best product or attribute? My best business product are my employees that provide excellent customer service with a smile and our wonderful customers who allow me to keep my doors open. Thank you Ponca City!!! Volume 36, Issue 6 www.poncacitychamber.com Page 5 2013-2014 PIE Partner Wrap-Up Report Partners in Education (PIE Program) is an important Chamber program linking our Chamber businesses with our schools, both public and private. At the wrap-up meeting held in early May, both the businesses and principals noted how grateful they were for the relationships they are forming. This program truly has a positive impact on the lives of Ponca City school children. Below is a list of the items and services our businesses provided our schools this school year. First Lutheran Elementary School Trout Elementary School Funded a reptile show with a magic owl Provided reading mentors every Tuesday morning for students Provided awards and parties for box top contest as well as needing practice on fluency attendance prizes given throughout the year Helped with daily collection of coins donated by the student Funded massage day for the teachers body for the United Way drive Donated a coffee mug full of goodies at Christmas for each Garfield Elementary School employee Donated numerous man hours at the school helping with Served as reading buddies and test monitors hands on activities in classrooms Donated water bottles for each student every month Volunteered man hours which enabled Garfield to receive a Furnished a water cooler system and water for the staff lounge grant for their activity fund Purchased medals for students with perfect attendance Purchased basic school supplies for all students next year Funded field trips, rockets for 5th grade students and an Union Elementary School end-of-year party for the safety patrol Provided donuts for attendance awards and spelling bulldogs Gave Sonic gift cards to all students and Chamber Bucks to all Volunteered as readers on literacy day and at Celebration of teachers at Christmas & led students in Christmas carols Learning Carnival Provided afternoon snacks, coffee and dessert for
