Charlie Clark - Pharmacist
Charlie initially joined the Trust in August 2007 as a Preregistration Pharmacist and then
stayed in the Trust after qualifying. In October 2010, she took a secondment post as an
Oncology Pharmacist and loved it so much she never left. Charlie even met her husband
whilst working in the Trust.
Charlie’s nomination is focused around her true dedication to the patients. Her nomination
said: “Charlie is so dedicated and embraces the Trust values of kind, safe and excellent.”

Charlie said: “I am so proud to have won this award, and this is not just for me but a team
effort.”
Sue Frew – Interim Financial Controller
Sue started in the Trust back in 1989, and is currently on a secondment as a financial
controller, managing the bank account, cash flow and financial reporting for the Trust.
Sue’s winning nomination said: “She has worked above the level at which one would
normally expect an experienced financial controller to operate, and shown dedication and
commitment to her role and to the Trust.”
Sue said: “This is a team effort award; I wouldn’t be able to win this if it wasn’t for the great
team who I work with.”

Operations Centre
The Operation Centre Team is made up of patient flow Managers and Operational Matrons
and are responsible for co-ordination of trust activity 24 hours a day. This involves site safety
co-ordination, safe patient placement and senior nurse leadership out of hours.
The winning nomination said: “This team are the Trust’s family silver and should be
commended for how well they have kept the Trust afloat despite the pressure in ED and bed
capacity.”
Julie Clayton, Operations Centre Manager said: “We work so hard to make sure patients are
safe within the hospital. It is such a great team who always go that extra mile for their
patients.”
