●
The first semester (Sept. - Dec.) is divided into 4 teaching units.
The 2nd semester (Jan. - June) is devoted to internship, master’s thesis and defense session. Each student
will be assigned a supervisor teacher for the Master’s thesis. The internship will take place in France or
abroad.
Objectives
This programme is entirely taught in English.
In an increasingly globalized world, business leaders cannot ignore what is going on beyond the borders of their
home countries. The second year of the Master’s in International Management (MIM) of the IAE de Poitiers is
designed for students who want to be deeply immersed into international business and learn how to overcome
obstacles to be successful. The study programme emphasizes developing skills such as assessing the
international competitive structure of industries, building marketing plans, formulating market-entry strategies,
managing cross-cultural issues or global business risk. The goal is to help students develop a working knowledge
of transnational business operations (with a focus on the European Community Market) and the global
environment and how both affect the organizations and the management. Working methods focus on case
studies, team work, cross-cultural backgrounds of the involved students and active participation of the students.
Graduate students will be able to demonstrate a global perspective in international business operations and so
increase the competitiveness of organizations.
The MIM of the IAE of Poitiers is open to local and international students, the aim of the Master’s being to reach a
balance between local and international students in the class, that is to say an actual international environment.
