A detailed pilgrimage programme will be confirmed by
our team of guides upon arrival in Medjugorje.
Here you will find an idea of what to expect of your pilgrimage.
However, please be aware that the actual itinerary may vary
depending on weather, and which visionaries and priests are
in Medjugorje at the time of your pilgrimage.
18 October | Depart USA
Depart New York JFK to Dubrovnik via Dublin.
17:30 Depart New York JFK with Aer Lingus to to Dublin. 05:10* Arrive Dublin and connect on the
flight to Dubrovnik.
07:30* Depart connecting flight to Dubrovnik.
11:45* Arrive Dubrovnik (*19 October).
19 October | Arrive in Medjugorje
Arrive in Dubrovnik at 11:45 am. Upon arrival you will be
met by the resident English speaking Joe Walsh Tours
team of representatives and transferred to Medjugorje by
coach. Enjoy a free afternoon to rest after your flight or
get acquainted with the town of Medjugorje. Dinner at your
guesthouse.

21 October | Visionary and Hill of the Apparitions
This morning after breakfast we have a meeting with one of
the Visionaries, followed by Mass and a talk from one of the
local Franciscan priests. In the afternoon we will climb the Hill
of the Apparitions (Podbrdo) for a time of prayer. After dinner
the evening programme begins, same as the night before,
with the Rosary.

22 October | Mount Krizevac
Breakfast at the guesthouse. Today we will take part in a
climb of Mount Krizevac (Cross Mountain) to follow the ‘Way
of the Cross’. After your dinner at the guesthouse, the evening
programme continues as before.

23 October | Visionary and Cennacolo
After your breakfast attend a Morning Mass followed by
meeting with one of the Visionaries. This afternoon we will
visit Cennacolo, a community for recovering alcoholics and
drug addicts. After your dinner the evening programme
continues as before.

24 October | Oasis of Peace
After your breakfast, attend a morning meeting in the
Community of the Oasis of Peace followed by a Mass. You
will have the option to take an afternoon trip to a Franciscan

Practical Tips
• Please make sure that you have a valid Passport with you
for your journey. This needs to be kept on your person at
all times. Do not pack this away in your main luggage, as
you will need it at the border en route to Medjugorje.

this varies depending on the airline. Airlines are quite
strict and may charge for any luggage over and above

INSURANCE:
We strongly recommend that all passengers secure travel insurance cover prior to the start of their trip. If
you require travel insurance, this can be offered at the rate of $ 169 per person. Please note that our travel
insurance, if required, must be contracted and paid for at the time of booking.

This is available and allows pilgrims to cancel the trip up to 48 hours before departure and receive a full
refund, excluding the travel insurance premium and the extended cancellation protection, provided the reason
for cancellation is not covered by travel insurance. This waiver may only be purchased combined with travel
insurance and both need to be paid along with the deposit at the time of booking.
HOTELS:
We have made arrangements to reserve the best accommodation available in Medjugorje. Please note the
price is based on sharing twin or treble rooms with private facilities.
SINGLE ROOMS:
These are very limited and subject to availability at a supplementary charge of $199 for the duration of the trip.
Your kind cooperation in agreeing to share a twin or treble room, if at all possible, will be much appreciated.
SPECIAL REQUESTS:
These must be made in writing in the attached booking form. They will be carefully noted and all parties involved
will be notified accordingly. We will do our best to meet such requests. However, these cannot be guaranteed
until confirmed by the relevant parties.
FLIGHTS:
The package is based on flying Aer Lingus economy class from New York JFK to Dubrovnik via Dublin and
returning from Dubrovnik to New York JFK via Dublin. All passengers are entitled to check in one standard piece
of luggage subject to airline's conditions. PASSPORT:
US passport holders do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Every person travelling must have a valid up-to-date passport. If you already have a passport, please check now
that it will be valid for travel until October 26, 2016. You may wish to check the most up to date visa information
by contacting the embassies of countries you will be visiting directly.
BALANCE OF FARE:
This is due June 20, 2016. Joe Walsh Tours shall be entitled, at its discretion, to treat as cancelled any booking
in respect of which the balance of fare shall not have been remitted by the due date.
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Full information, flight tickets and any other relevant documentation will be sent to you within 14 days prior to
the departure date. Our specialist representatives will be available at all times to render assistance.
SPENDING MONEY:
The Bosnian Convertible Marka is the official currency in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Foreign exchange bureaux
and ATMs are widely available. The Euro is widely accepted, although change is given in local currency.
PASSENGERS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY:
Passengers with reduced mobility are advised to notify Joe Walsh Tours at the time of booking in order to ensure
that special assistance is requested at airports.
