On June 3, Pope Francis decreed that henceforth July 22, the liturgical "Memorial"

“St. Joseph’s Dream” Fresco
In 2010 Father Todd Molinari began the process to have a fresco done of, “The Dream of St. Joseph”. This fresco was to depict a scene in the
Gospel in which St. Joseph, after having discovered that Mary was with child decides to divorce her until the dream. In St. Joseph’s dream, an
angel of the Lord appears revealing to him that the child was conceived of the Holy Spirit and that he is to take Mary as his wife. The mural
depicts Joseph dreaming, the angel revealing, the marriage nuptials between St. Joseph and the Blessed Mother.
Before leaving St. Joseph Parish in 2014, Father Todd wrote a letter of reflections and farewell. The following is an excerpt from that letter,
which is a great reminder to all of us the extreme importance of Sacred art in our churches:
“The installation of sacred art in the form of a fresco mural may seem to some to be a waste of resources that could be better used with the
school or assisting the poor. The parish certainly takes its ministerial mandate to formation of youth and works of mercy as central to her life, but
we need to remember that the first priority in practicing our Catholic Faith is to offer adoration and praise in the form of Sacred Liturgy of Almighty God. The implementation of various forms of the scared arts – from excellent Sacred Music to well-crafted homilies to well-executed
liturgies to the installation of Sacred Art in our churches – is a primary and basic expression of our Faith and taking seriously absolute priority of
worshipping God in Sacred Liturgy, and which is the foundation for all the works of charity and mercy that the Church provides.”
On August 17, 2016 a benefit dinner will be held at Illahe to assist in raising the final funds needed to see “St. Joseph’s Dream” become a reality

INSCRIPCIONES PARA CATECISMO
DE LA PRIMERA COMUNION
11 y 18 de septiembre 11:00 a.m. - 1 p.m.
en el Gimnasio
Es un programa de dos años
Favor de presentarse con:
 Una copia de la Fe de Bautismo del niño(a).
 El costo por cada niño(a) es de $60.00 (se entregará al
tiempo de inscribir al niño(a)).
 Solo niños de 8 años en adelante para las clases de
español.
 Solo niños bautizados.
 Para las clases de español los niños tienen que entender, hablar, leer, y escribir bien el español.
Tengan en cuenta que vamos a tener un cambio para
los niños que entren a su Primer Año de Catecismo.
Las clases serán el Primer Sábado de cada mes
(una vez al mes solamente) pero es indispensable que
asistan en familia (Padres y hermanos).
CUPO LIMITADO
Catecismo en español los domingos a las 11:30 a.m.
Catecismo en ingles es los miércoles a las 6:30 p.m.
Confirmación para Jóvenes
Todos los jóvenes que entrarán a los grados 9-12 para el año escolar del 2016-2017, y que han participado activamente en la parroquia (como asistiendo semanalmente a Clases de Formación Fe, ayudante de
catequista, etc.) son bienvenidos a inscribirse para el
Segundo año de Preparación Sacramental.

Las inscripciones para el Primer Año de Confirmación
para jóvenes de 8-12 grado, también se llevaran acabo
el 11 y 18 de septiembre a las 11am en el gimnasio.
Necesita la fe de bautizo y $60 por niño.
