Sacred Heart Catholic Church Third Sunday in Ordinary Time –January 24, 2016 Fr. Patrick Reilley Sacred Heart Catholic Church 302 South B Street Arkansas City, KS 67005 Mass Schedule Tuesday - Friday Saturday Sunday 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. Misa en Español Domingo 11:00 a.m. Confessions/Confesiónes Reflection from the Pastor: Saint Paul reminds us today in the First Letter to the Corinthians that we are a Stewardship People, each with different gifts, but with one purpose: to be the Body of Christ. Each of us is necessary; just as every part of the human body serves its purpose. What gift is God calling you to share with the Body of Christ? Bulletin Bits from the Diocesan Stewardship Office "Once One Chooses to be a Disciple of Christ, Stewardship is not an Option” Today is holy to the Lord your God! Scripture teaches us about God the Father who is infinite love and mercy. As we grow in understanding of the Lord, our hearts yearn to experience the Father’s love and peace. St. Paul assures us that we are all essential members of the Body of Christ and no one is without work to accomplish. The prophet Nehemiah declares that the day of the Lord is to be a joyous day, full of rejoicing in the glory of God. Once Jesus entered our world to save us, each day is a day of the Lord! May we direct our vision to the glory of God and bring his love to all peoples.
