FROM THE PASTOR
WE HAVE ONLY DONE OUR DUTY
The second part of our Gospel today gives us the right disposition
for a Christian stewardship and services. Christ says, that even
when we have done all we are expected to do, we still can’t make
any demands on God or claim any credit. Rather we should have the
demeanor of a slave and say “We are unprofitable servants; we have
done what we were obliged to do”.
I look forward with great hope that our Family of Faith will respond
with enthusiasm and generosity to the Bishop’s Appeal as we have always done
in the past, keeping in mind that our family of Faith extends beyond our parish
boundary.
Once again I call on all the men who have not gone through the Christ Renews
His Parish Retreat to heed the loving invitation of God to sign up this weekend.
Finally, I call on every one to join us at Queen of Peace, during the 40 Day for
Life Campaign for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from Monday to Friday,
at 7:00 - 8:00 AM to pray and bear public witness for those who are yet to have
a voice, invite a friend also.
May the Lord God, help us to serve Him, not out of a sense of duty like a slave
but out of love as a loving child.
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD
FOR HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER ~ Fr. John Eze
