Rev. Thomas Dore, a retired priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago has accepted our invitation and will be speaking at all the weekend masses and on Monday, February 15th, Tuesday, February 16th, and Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00 PM in our church. Below you will find more details. As we move through this Year of Mercy, we invite you to come and reflect and pray in this Lenten Season on how we are grateful for the mercy of God in our lives and hearts. Searching For God Featuring Rev. Thomas M. Dore Pastor Emeritus, St. Giles Parish, Oak Park, IL. Fr. Dore has created this program to reinforce or re-kindle your yearning for greater intimacy with God while dealing with the practical matters of our everyday world. Searching for God focuses on three critical areas of our journey toward intimacy with God. After 50+ years of priestly ministry, Fr. Dore has become keenly aware of the innate desire each person has for intimacy with God. Given the Speed with which our society creates new and exciting ways for all of us to “satisfy” our hungers and “fulfill” that deep-seated longing within each of us, the level of frustration continues to escalate. As St. Augustine so clearly stated some 1,700 years ago, “You have created us for yourself O God, and our hearts are restless till they rest in you.” Fr. Dore’s presentations will invite his listeners to walk with him in our search for God. Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults Are you an adult who has not celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation? Active Catholics, age 19 or over who have celebrated the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist are invited to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation. Buscando a Dios Con Rev. Thomas M. Dore Pastor Emérito, St. Giles Parish, Oak Park, Illinois.
