JSKI condensation canopy with supply air
Product Description
The Jeven JSKI condensation hood has been designed for kitchens where a comfortable, productive and
healthy indoor climate is required.
The JSKI canopy offers draught-free and drip-free
ventilation with first-class working conditions and
thermal comfort.
JSKI is equipped with exhaust and supply air with
damper plates and measurement taps. Supply air is
introduced into the kitchen by supply air columns.
JSKI has special condensation baffles.
Supply air columns ensure that the distribution of the
supply air is controlled and flexible.
Modularity makes it easy to vary both the number and
positioning of the supply air columns.
The actual supply air pattern can be manually adjusted
when working near to the canopy.
Supply air columns and condensation baffles are easy
to wash in a dishwasher.
Lights and Filters
All Jeven condensation hoods come equipped with
lights and condensation baffles.
Material
The basic material is stainless steel (AISI 304)
Accessories
- Covering boards to enclose the area between the top
of the hood and the ceiling.

1
1. Supply air is introduced through supply air columns,
2. which allows adjustment of the air pattern.
3. Heat and steam rise into the hood.
4. Condensation and grease particles are removed in the
baffles.
5. Clean air is extracted.

Recommended supply air flow rates for JSKI hoods
The recommended airflow depends on the
size of the hood and the supply air units:
The canopies are supplied from the
factory with suitable air flow rates
for a pressure level of 25-35 Pa.

Objectives of Kitchen Ventilation
Exhaust Flow Rates
1. Cooking vapours and heat should be removed with the help
of efficient local exhaust in such a way that contaminants do
not pass though the staff’s breathing zone.
2. Temperature, velocity and cooling effect of the supply air
should be comfortable.
3. In cases where staff are subjected to high heat radiation,
they should be able to adjust the supply air (local cooling)
4. Grease extractors should be fire-proof and, as with supply
air units, should be easy to maintain.
5. Air flow rates should be easily adjustable.
Exhaust air flows are calculated according to the DW/172
standard, based on the type, size and power source of the
kitchen equipment located under the canopy.

1. The size of the hood is determined by the size of the kitchen
equipment. The overhang depends on the type of equipment
and the distance between the hood’s gutter and the top of the
kitchen equipment. According to the DW/172 standard, the
overhang for the equipment under this type of hood is 300mm.

2. Airflow rates are calculated based on the type and size of
each piece of kitchen equipment.
3. The distribution of the supply air is planned, and the product
codes are marked with airflows.

The Jeven free design service team can help you with
these calculations.
Supply Air and General Exhaust
Supply air flow rates are usually 80-90 % of the exhaust air
flow rates. General exhaust is usually 10% of the hood’s
exhaust air flow rates.
Simply email a drawing of the kitchen and the list of cooking
equipment to design@jeven.co.uk and we will calculate all
the necessary airflows and also prepare a drawing of the
canopies for you for free.
