If you're looking for a course full of adventure, come to Off to Camp! How to make a leaf rubbing: Step 1: Go on a trip in the woods to find some leaves. Step 2: Pick out some colorful crayons and get some paper. Step 3: Put the leaf under the paper and rub the paper with the crayon. You will now have a colorful leaf rubbing! How to make a paperclip necklace: Materials: 16 large size paperclips Step 1: Put one paperclip through the loop of another. Step 2: Repeat this to make a paperclip chain out of all 16 paperclips. Step 3: Connect the two ends of the chain. Step 4: Wrap duct tape or contact paper around each paperclip to make beads. The Triple Threats of Kaleidoscope Jillian Schuck and Brianna JeanLaurent Boom, boom, boom! Not Your Average Gourmet Sabrina Osborn and Ipsita Kadam Have you ever wanted to make recipes from all over the world? Well, that's exactly what happens in International Young Chefs. These artists and cooks T he S c o o p a t K a l e i d o s c o p e make a craft and a meal from each country that they study. Some of the countries include China, Israel, Italy, India and Mexico. For China, they made elegant paper fans and cooked noodles. For India, they made lassi. For Israel they made hamsa necklaces and hummus. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: -1 16 oz can of chick peas or garbanzo beans, reserve 14 cup liquid -3-5 tablespoons lemon juice -1 1/2 tablespoons tahini -2 cloves garlic, crushed -1/2 teaspoon salt -2 tablespoons olive oil Instructions: Drain chick peas and set aside liquid. Combine remaining ingredients in blender or food processor. Add 1/4 of liquid from chickpeas. Blend for 3-5 minutes on low until mixed and smooth. Place in serving bowl and create a shallow well in the center of the hummus. Add olive oil to the well. Refrigerate for 3 hours. Serve with pita bread or veggies. If you want a place where you can read tons of stories and do lots of crafts, come to Kids' Book Club. Do you like playing computer games? If so, then come down to Computer Capers! In Computer Capers, young gamers play the most fun games around. One cool game is called Water Works. The object of the game is to get little balls into a bucket.
