illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.
May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and
so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through
the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.
The recently DECEASED:
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon them…
An Act of
Spiritual
Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were
already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
THE DEDICATION OF THE LATERAN BASILICA
CASH CLUB
Cash Club date is November 15, 2014 starting at 6:30pm.
Once again we are selling tickets for the Community Days at
the Bon-Ton. The event will be held on November 14 and
November 15. The tickets will be on sale this week before
and after Masses. The coupons are $5 each and have over
$500 in exclusive coupon savings. If you are able to help
sell tickets before or after Masses, contact the office. Also, if
you should want tickets to sell outside of the church, contact
the office.
We are looking for three parishioners that feel the calling to
serve on the Parish Council. Those interested should be
members of our parish, regularly attend mass, and regularly
receive the sacraments. If you feel that God is calling you to
serve in this capacity, please submit a letter of interest to Fr.
Peter no later than November 9, 2014. You may place your
letter in the weekly collection of the Mass that you attend
with Fr. Peter's name clearly printed on the envelope, or you
may mail your letter to the parish.
Please join us the weekend of November 15, 2014 to
hear Rev. William R. Sokolowski speak at all
Masses about a ministry providing direct relief to the
poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Father Sokolowski will share personal witness about
Food For The Poor’s mission to care for the destitute
as a means of living out the Gospel mandate to love
one another. Fr. Sokolowski was ordained in 1965 for
the Archdiocese of Hartford. Fr. Bill taught Philosphy
for over 25 years. Before joining Food For The Poor,
he served as pastor in the Archdiocese of Hartford.
Please join us in welcoming Father Sokolowski.
Calling all bakers….we ar e looking for people to bake
some delicious confections for our spaghetti supper. Please
drop off your goodies to the parish on Thursday, November
13 or Friday, November 14.
Our food ministry is in need of volunteers to help prepare the
packages for the families we serve. This will only require
two to three days a month for preparation and pick up. Please
consider giving your time for this very worthwhile ministry.
